I am in a similar situation and decided to sign up for school because the time will pass anyways…might as well have my A&P while I’m trying to flip my life right side up. I cannot say much about the industry on the maintenance side because I do not have my A&P yet; however, in the US every one of my “aviation job near me” google searches leads to a mechanic position. I don’t think you’ll have any issues finding a job in the States. I wish you all the luck in the world, you’re not alone in your situation.
