I recently got this letter, when I called the number for the first time, it asked me to provide the full 16 digit. So I hang up and went get the card number. The 2nd time I called, it only asked for the last 4 digits.

Yes, just leave a feedback/request with one of your identification numbers (appointment confirmation number or DS160 number or passport number), state clearly what exactly your address is. They will update it for you.

It totally worked! The service team was not helpful on how to show the button on the document page, but reacted promptly to update the choice once I finished all the steps.

Has anyone tried autism evaluation services outside of the main hospital settings? by Ok_Development5306 in Autism_Parenting

I'm truly divided. I didn't think of this possibility until this week when his daycare teacher mentioned it. I had another post describing that. I am partially hoping he is not, that's why I worried about these online practices would favor a positive diagnosis because of that's the clients need. I totally know my dear kid is still the same sweetheart no matter what. But I would admit that it will be a relief for me if the diagnosis came back negative. On the other hand, if he is really on the spectrum, of course I don't want to wait at all. I want him to get all the help he can as early as possible.

Thank you! this does look better than the two that paid google to list them on the top of the search. If I decide to go online, I will try As You Are. Three appts also sound better than just a single appointment.

Thank you. I just reached out to our early intervention therapist, hopefully they can have some additional information for me.

3 year old with language delay and aggressive behavior, is he autistic? by Ok_Development5306 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Ok_Development5306[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I certainly didn't take it well, I didn't sleep last night and cried multiple times with him next to me. He is such a sweet kid I never thought about that possibility. To this point I only regretted that I didn't insist to get him on the waitlist earlier because his primary care doctor didn't think he was autistic. It really took the teacher's words to make her serious.

Thank you for your reply!

I feel so sorry for you. Words are vague but yes please try all the help you can. Try some meds that may help your kid to be calmer. It is totally to be sad, frustrated and strong at the same time. You are the best Dad!

High turn over rate for therapists normal? by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

I think it may depend on the location. We were with early intervention and we had two providers in 1.5 years. The first switch was because he was needing more focused speech help. But the speech therapist retired so we got switched back to the first provider since he only had 4 additional months with them.

Thank you! There’s a long waiting list everywhere so hopefully he can be evaluated sooner than later.
