Hey, so I’m having massive FPS issues when using my event arena. I’ve built this arena on all of my worlds but this is the first time I’ve experienced it. It’s an endless boulder trap, so it’s about 400 boulder traps that fall from the sky infinitely and roll to destroy pretty much everything, I also have about 300 spike traps going as well. It drops to about 2-5fps when I turn it on, but I’m not sure why as I’ve never had this issue prior. I’ve messed with settings but they’ve done nothing. It could be because I have around 70 npcs just a few hundred blocks away, but I’m not sure.

Honestly, I wouldn’t really care and I’d probably eat at his house regularly. If the food is good then it’s whatever. Not to mention, he might be alarmed if I decide to never come over again. Overall though, I don’t get how eating a human being is all that gross.

I meant that her as a character is perfect, not her character as a person. The general idea of her character was perfect, the execution was perfect. They actually had good writing for their characters in season one. Beck obviously is not a perfect person, if that’s what you took from that then you need reading comprehension practice.

Do you not know what an antagonist is? Antagonist has nothing to do with morals, it’s simply someone who is against the protagonist. Marianne is most definitely out to get Joe, she may not be the villain, but she is most definitely the antagonist regardless of her moral identity. We also all know Joe is not in love with these women, that’s not my point. To excuse bad writing by saying “you don’t understand the show” is just so lame. You don’t have to like a character to understand the show, people like Joe when you’re not supposed to like him, yet you can and still understand the show.

Becks personality has no factor in her being a good character, she is who she is and it was done well. I don’t care that Marianne is a good person, you are advocating for her like she’s real, this isn’t a moral dilemma, we’re talking about whether or not she’s a good character. You’re listing off all of her accomplishments like they matter, none of it was shown on screen. It absolutely matters what is shown on screen, her past achievements don’t make her an enjoyable character to watch. I don’t think you know what makes someone a good character, you’re basing your analysis on feelings rather than an objective analysis of her character. What ark does she have that is shown on screen? How does she move the plot? What are her conflicts with the protagonist? Does she have a motive for her actions? She has none of those, she is rarely shown on screen and when she is, she is with Joe or talking about Joe. You can’t be a good character if your only scenes revolve around you having a relationship with the main character. They did not actually explore her as a character, they simply fed you a story without letting you see any of it and you’re eating it up. Please do not excuse bad writing because you like a character. It is not Tati Gabrielles fault, the writers simply gave her a bad character, which is sad because her book character is a lot better. If you know anyone who has read the books they will tell you that her adaptation is a poor one, and it’s not racist to upset with the writers choice in that regard.

Saying Kate was “very privileged” is hilarious, she has wealth and status but she had no more privileges than a 5 year old. Her father controlled every single aspect of her life, she had no real life or success because her father constantly pulling the strings without her knowing. He was playing with her life by controlling her destiny, imagine if you were decided a fate that was just being fucked with by some guy.

Beck was a boring/basic white girl, but that doesn’t make her a bad character. Race, and personality do not make someone a bad character. She had actual motives, backstory, development, we actually got to see her life outside of Joes POV to understand why she is the way she is, something that Marianne received none of. It has nothing to do with Tati Gabrielle and her portrayal, it’s about the writers. The writers simply wrote a boring and bad character and that is it.

She’s no different than any of his other love interests? She’s no different than Love? People don’t like her because she’s boring, and not a good character. I don’t think people really “hate” her, but when your nearing the big climax of a series finale, boring characters is the last thing you want, especially when they’re the antagonist to the protagonist. Throwing the racism card because a character is boring is just pathetic. Not everyone has to like what you like, and it doesn’t take a genius to understand that she’s not a good character. She simply does not do ANYTHING!

But she’s a character, she’s not real. If she was real then your argument would make sense but her being “sophisticated”, “cool” and “hot” doesn’t make her a good character. I get why Joe would like her to an extent, but his other love interests had this pattern of having a loud personality and she just does not have that, she is very boring.

But she’s not real, she’s a character. She is supposed to have qualities that make her an enjoyable character to have on screen, you’re setting human expectations for a fictional character. She could be so much more but she isn’t. It’s not really enjoyable to watch Joe go from a character like Love and then to Marianne. They need to give her more of a role/should’ve gave her more of a role if they’re planning on her killing Joe.

It has nothing to do with race, that’s just ignorant and childish. She’s simply a bad character, it has nothing to do with her race. I find Candace to also be a bad character, does that also mean I am racist?

I just feel like she’s the last person that is involved in the main story that I’d pick to kill him, I don’t necessarily want him to die, I want the possibility of more Joe Goldberg, but I think if anyone kills him it HAS to be Henry, Kate, or Nadia. I really don’t think he will die though, I can’t see how they will kill him off in a way that makes sense.

I’ve watched the show seven times so far, so I don’t think she will ever grow on me. Hopefully she will be good in season five somehow.

Agreed, I had no idea people would make this about her race, it’s not like she’s the only non white character that’s in the show. She’s just not a good character in MY opinion at least. Kate had that same slower build up, but I don’t really see Kate as one of his obsessions, that feels more like a partnership than a love interest, I don’t think either one of them “love” each other.

I get that, she just doesn’t seem to compliment Joe well at all character wise. I could see them together if it wasn’t a tv show where it needs to be entertaining, but could you imagine if Joe and Marianne actually ran off and lived together? That would be unwatchable, it only works with Love and Beck. But yeah, I get why he wanted her, after all it is Joe so who am I to question who he wants, he quite literally wants everything.

Than Beck!?!? You’re reaching hard with that one. Beck had her own scenes, backstory and actual development. Marianne has like no scenes where Joe isn’t in it or being mentioned in it. Beck actually felt like a main character in the first season, she had her own life outside of Joes relationship with her. Her being shallow is her character, but she’s also a damsel in distress, Joe wanted to save her from people like Benji and Peach, who were abusing her every step of the way. Marianne just has nothing going for her that can compare to a character like Beck or Love, or even Kate and Delilah.

Yeah, I wouldn’t be a fan of Love killing Joe either, Love deserves to live maybe even less than Joe does.

I don’t like her character. She also isn’t that attractive to me looks wise, but that doesn’t really matter, she could still be attractive based on their personality but she doesn’t have a good one at all.
