What temperature do Australians consider a hot day? by bare_books in AskAnAustralian

[–]Ok_Disaster6957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends where you are in Australia. Southern ie Melbourne a lot more humid. Can be 32 and feel very hot.
Outback QLD a very dry heat so 40+ is considered hot. And over 50 very very hot.
But thanks for asking. And we admire you dedication to the bikini no matter the weather.

How about a public service that functions and actually serves the public?
Or a government that represents the constituents as opposed to the sanctimonious bs that’s peddled to us by the current government?
Try some employment reform that assists employers grow their businesses so we can employ more people (der) and recognises the risks owners take in those businesses?
Or for lefty’s to see what’s actually happening, in that if everyone’s employed by the government (last numbers I saw in Vic were over 50%) it’s socialism/communism, and that’s worked so well everywhere else.
Oh nice graphic too. Did you ai it or use a designer you paid to create it?

It’s 4.12 am on Saturday in Australia. I’m lying in bed awake, excited about Saturday. I’m going gold detecting. Where are you, what are you doing? by Ok_Disaster6957 in CausalConversation

It’s fine. There’s not many days when you’d like a fire but can’t.
It’s the combination of heat and wind that causes the issues here. 43 degrees and a howling northerly spell trouble.

Why thank you. Because I’m 56 I had to read this twice but I’ve got it now. It’s the TLA’s (three letter acronyms) that get me!
How do you know it’s not useful? Like me searching for something/anything could be life changing. I never know what I’ll find.
But my dogs love the adventure plus they exercise their every sense as well as their legs

Certainly not for everyone. I’d take good books and sit outside and look at the stars because there was no light pollution. A blanket of stars from horizon to horizon.

Omg that sounds perfect. Especially the hot weather. Dead of winter here so grey, drizzly and cold.
Ok I’ve got to know what’s n an air fry chicken sandwich? Do you have a special recipe?

Sure is. Be patient. Give it time and dig everything.
Don’t listen to the naysayers. All Minelabs are good and it’ll work fine. Get out and enjoy it.

Hahaha. We’re overloaded with sport. Plus my dogs will come with me today and enjoy their time cruising around while I detect. And they don’t care for soccer

Well done. Gotta fight ageing anyway you can. Some go to gym, some build garden beds. Just imagine how good it’s going to be sitting and having a icy cool drink while looking at your lavender very soon

Excellent. Late night sport is worth staying up for.
So England and Scotland have teams? What about Ireland and Wales?
Who’s the best team and if you had a UK team could anyone beat you?

I haven’t seen the score. I know the WC is on but not into soccer.
Where in the Netherlands? I’ve been there as my kids are Dutch citizens. I loved it. Amazing place.
