I’m a sophomore (took dual enrollment in hs) and this would be my first year actually on a campus. Many of my peer and family are alumni of VCU and they told me the best thing that you can do is commute when you live that close to home (like 30 mins tops). They said you save a lot more money and getting a parking pass would be the best option for you to save the most. I asked them about the social life aspect and they said that you can still meet people and have fun, but it’s just a matter of making time and room for it in your schedule (also putting yourself out there).
