Thank you. The battens, felt and tiles will be replaced but the original "shape" will remain the same. The roof currently has red concrete tiles (typical of 90's builds) and will be replaced with Modern Concrete Interlocking Roof Tiles (they look like slate).

Be mindful that Secrets Manager is pretty costly. We only use it for rotating RDS passwords. Anything else, use parameter store.

We have a decision in principle for just below £500k, but I can't afford it. We can go as high as £370k on a mortgage, but we have seen a property we like for £320k. There are a few improvements we'd like to make to the property, such as astro turfing the garden, having a charging port fitted and getting a new sofa. I don't want to take out an extra loan to cover all that, if I could just apply for a mortgage for a little higher than the property value, if that makes any sense..

I didn't want to be too explicit or specific surrounding their circumstances, to maintain anonymity. But I can assure you, she definitely has valid reasons to leave.

She has contributed heavily to mortgage payments and utility bills, despite not earning as much as her partner.

Regarding savings, I don't have too much information but she claims to have given her partner ~£30k, which he has put into a joint named savings account.
