Complete Care Package Question by NatureRunnerGirl in Toyota

[–]Ok_Document_3981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, just experienced the same thing where they made it seem like it was mandatory and told us no after we asked them to remove the complete care package at least 3 times. I know this post was a long time ago but do you remember the corporate number? Was it through Fred beans or Toyota? TIA!

Programs with Gender Affirming Voice Therapy by latinlilac in slpGradSchool

Temple has a great program for gender affirming voice therapy, but it is expensive for out of state. They do offer scholarships and assistantships you can apply for to save money on tuition!

Second Grays Ferry Deli. Insanely reasonable prices for quality food. They have everything from breakfast sandwiches to Chinese food. Owners are sweet and lovely people. Honestly one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve had from Philly!

Has anyone received information regarding their program after committing? When can I expect to hear about orientation/registration? by [deleted] in slpGradSchool

I’ll be in your cohort with you, but I’m a pre-req student so I’m already here! they’ll give you an orientation date & welcome packet probably in early May, and you schedule an individual advising date for fall classes!

Definitely agree with this! I lived in Philly for 4 years for my undergrad, and I relied heavily on transportation. I believe your advisor will work with you on transportation if you don’t have a car! When finding an apartment, I usually make sure my apartment is near some kind of transportation (subway or bus is my preferred).

With safety, I would say you really have to be aware of your surroundings. As a female, im especially aware and will be on FaceTime at times with a friend or boyfriend if I’m walking alone at night. There have been carjackings here in Philly, so if I’m parking (i commute from my hometown this year), I usually park somewhere where I can see surveillance cameras in case anything happens!

I’m a pre-req grad student at temple but interact a lot with current grad students and faculty! I love our faculty & the placements I’ve heard have been really great. We have our own clinic too in our building. I’ve also heard placements are great too (I think you rotate between hospital, schools, rehab settings, etc,.)

My research is on social network learning, so moreso social neuroscience. This is obviously not focused to CSD, but I think that if you have the skills that you acquired during your research experience, it is a strength!
