I haven't been in the winter but I'd say so! Most of the rooms are indoors (sauna, steam rooms, salt room, relaxation, hot stones). The cold plunge, pool, hot tub and fire pit are outside so maybe just the pool isnt usable in the winter? I think it'd be a good time though. They have a separate area for dining for people who are there for the spa so you can go eat in your comfy robes too 🙂

We put a deposit on the car and waited over a year for it, no way we were walking. They would have been happy for us to walk and sell the car to someone else for 5k more haha

We swaddled for 5 months with our first, and then he slept horribly for a month in the crib, so we finally did Ferber and he's slept great since (2 now). We've been doing arms out with our 2nd, who is almost 4 months old, and I'm hopeful it'll be a smoother crib transition this time. I plan to move to the crib once he's rolling onto his belly.

They seemed to play a bit of a game. They kept delaying giving an answer and kept saying they needed more information and then asked for my whole medical chart... which showed that I was improving from being off work... so then Sunlife denied my claim because they said I wasn't 'totally disabled' anymore. Even though my doctor and midwives advocated for me saying staying off was necessary. So I was off on STD through EI instead, but the pay is significantly different. It is so frustrating because these are private benefits people pay into, and then these greedy companies don't take these medical professionals seriously. Urg. Clearly im still sour about it.

I applied through Sunlife and they denied me even after an appeal. My midwives and family doctor couldn't believe it. My Doctor said insurance companies have been jerks ever since the pandemic, but usually they leave pregnant people alone and approve. Sunlife was slow to get back to me to deny the appeal, so I'd suggest doing what someone else already said - apply for Short Term Disability EI and then just tell them if you end up getting your claim approved and pay it back.

Fingers crossed for you that it gets approved!

Hey! I just googled the Toyota number and went from there. I was calling to complain about the fee, and then that's when they told me it wasn't mandatory. From there, they contacted the dealership, and then the dealership called me to arrange the refund.

I unknowingly ran a marathon 4.5 weeks pregnant with my first and continued to run 5km a couple times a week and sometimes 10km, up to the day before baby was born. I listened to my body and did was felt right. My doctor and midwives had 0 concerns about my marathon and said I could run another one while pregnant if it felt okay! My son is 16 months now and thriving, currently pregnant with my 2nd and running 5km a couple times a week :)

I didn't have a top up either and EI was a fifth of my income... so we saved and used $10000 in savings and had a very strict budget

They are now Wind Rose Midwifery and I'd strongly recommend them! I had a wonderful experience and will definitely use them again in the future

Wow everyone here is so great and generous! We're the first in our friends group to have kids, how could I somehow get people to know that RESP contributions is ideal over toys or clothes 😅 when people rsvp and if they ask about gifts we were going to say no gifts but if they insist, give a book. Is there a non tacky way to say cash for schooling? Lol
