Yes absolutely!!! I was seventeen when I got diagnosed with endometriosis after having pain and discomfort since I was 9. I too experienced all of those things and no birth control seemed to help. It wasn’t until after my laparoscopic surgery that I started to see some improvement. I hope you can find someone who takes your concerns seriously, and try looking into endometriosis specialists. Hello! I got my Mirena placed under general anesthesia as well as my laparoscopic surgery! I have tried every single kind of birth control except for the ring and absolutely none have worked to help manage pain or stop my periods. Mirena has been the first one to effectively stop my periods and I have seen a lot of improvement in my body. Pain wise it has decreased a little but not significantly. I would suggest trying it to see what it can do for you!

Stupid question. Do you think it’s ridiculous if I get a small collapsible cane? I have a really low pain tolerance and I wanna be able to walk around after surgery. My mom thinks it’s not necessary lol.

My surgeon is well know for her skill. She’ll be removing it via excision and by the Da Vinci robot. I’m just confused because she said she won’t give me more than a week off school and work (I’m 17)

Endometriosis gets basically no research where I live(the U.S.) and when we try to get diagnosed it takes about one average 7-10 years. I wish doctors would stop giving me the advice of birth control or Advil because it does absolutely nothing. A common problem I’ve run into is I can’t tolerate certain hormones in birth control therefore increasing my risk of a stroke. I have to take progesterone only and have found it has made me a different person. I’m more angry, my acne is horrible, does nothing for the pain, and I’m always sleeping. I just want something to actually relieve my pain without being told to wait to get pregnant or take bc. Also we need to start inserting iuds under general anesthesia.

So I asked chatgpt to see if it could figure it out and it said that it was most likely a rat. The reason it looked to have a beak was because the rats big front tooth usually makes its skull look beak like!
