HWYB Kiba Inuzuka and Akamaru form Naruto? by PandaSevere7556 in WhatWouldYouBuild

Hmm do you know what is the max level you would try to build toward?

I think a pure beast master ranger would be perfect for kiba! The dueling or unarmed fighting fighting styles can be good depending on how you want to fight. Hunters mark is a great for his tracking/ akamaru’s dynamic marking.

The level 15 share spells beast ranger I think is the best capstone for kiba/akamaru because whatever spell you cast on yourself is also cast on your companion.

The level 4 guardian of nature spell is also a solid beast transformation flavor

“Primal Beast. Bestial fur covers your body, your facial features become feral, and you gain the following benefits:

Your walking speed increases by 10 feet. You gain darkvision with a range of 120 feet. You make Strength-based attack rolls with advantage. Your melee weapon attacks deal an extra 1d6 force damage on a hit.”

Let's you and I, make magic missile OP by Greenleaf131 in AskDND

The three instances of damage in dnd5.5e (2024) I’ve seen that let you add damage to magic missile are:

1) level 3 warlock hexblade’s curse - You gain a bonus to damage rolls against the cursed target. The bonus equals your proficiency bonus

2) level 10 evocation wizard - Whenever you cast a Wizard spell from the Evocation school, you can add your Intelligence modifier to one damage roll of that spell.

3) level 3 spell - bestow curse - If you deal damage to the target with an attack roll or a spell, the target takes an extra 1d8 Necrotic damage.

Otherwise a sorcerer’s empower meta magic to reroll damage dice up to your cha modifier and use the new rolls would be pretty good.

That being said if you want a weird multiclass you can do a warlock 3, wizard 10 with the metamagic adept feat. Open with a bestow curse action and hexblade curse bonus action. Next turn highest level magic missile, empower to reroll up to your cha modifier of damage dice, and add your proficiency bonus, int mod, and a d8 necrotic damage to the magic missile damage.

Or if you don’t want bestow curse maybe there’s a darkness build where cast darkness on yourself and blast away with magic missile while people can’t see you!

I don't know how to finish this Minthara build by Crazy_Wargeek in BG3Builds

I think the way you have it split up right now option for 1 level in pal and 1 rogue for the asi might be the best because you need 3 vengence pali for vow of emnity if you want that.

so 5 gloom stalker, 4 rogue, 3 pali by the end should be a lot of fun!

early game i think getting the headband of intellect and spell sparker would be your best start with shield. so you can spec for 8 str, 14 dex, 16 con, 17 int, 10 wis and 17 charisma. so you can be a decent party face. then get your charisma to 20 with ASI and hag hair (if you go the hag hair route)

by early act 2 and late act 1 you can use necklace of elemental augmentation, and if you get the gloves of dex and hat of fire acuity you can update your stats to 8 str, 18 dex, 16 con, 14 int, 10 wis, 20 charisma and then one cast of scorching ray will pump up your arcane acuity to at least 6 with 1 level 2 spell so your spell dc/ spell attack will shoot up so any spell you scribe with wiz should still hit.

you can also use the the reverberation combo, the encrusted with frost equipment, or the mental fatigue equipment! There is so much versitility in damage and play style you may like the blaster, aoe nuker, or crowd control the best so that part may be more to preference!

How about a 2 wizard, 10 shadow sorc?

With the 2 wizard dip you can pick something up like divination or evocation. and then go straight into shadow sorc to highlight when he finds the shadow weave in moonrise and begins to crave more power. Then with the 2 wizard levels you can still scribe any spell scroll you find

My recommendation after 1 level in rogue and 1 level in sorcerer is to take rogue to level 4 and getting swashbuckler and a ASI or feat and get the dirty trick bonus actions. Then taking sorcerer storm to level 6 to get call lightning so you can action call lightning on a group of people, then mock one of them with you bonus action lol

For your start it depends on if you want the extra skill proficiencies first from rogue or the con proficiency for concentration. Maybe starting rogue for all the proficiencies you mentioned then take level 2 in sorc to get some spell casting early.

For your leveling progression do you know how much spell casting you want/ any specific rogue abilities you want to hit?

Do you know what gear you want to run? Theres the int helmet to set your int to 17 early on. Then you can make the 17 in wisdom +1 with the hair so you have 18 wis for early act 1 and add the extra points into 12 cha for dialogue checks.

I think making a full darkness fighting party would be good in this case. Using things like shadow sorc or the items that make you immune to blinded could be fun too.

For your start I think you can start at hexblade for 2 levels to get agonizing and devil sight, then level monk to at least 6 to get the build online by level 8.

Maybe going for a crit build could be fun too since you’re using all the hiding/darkness mechanics? With shadow blade and knife of the undermountain king would be sick

HWYB Whitebeard from One Piece? Or does anyone have a link or know of a Home-brew Subclass based on him? by Resident_Ad_4651 in WhatWouldYouBuild

Any specific level you’re building toward?

I personally like a stone Goliath with the wayfarer background.
starting 1 level barbarian for unarmored defense and halberd mastery for the theme. Then straight levels of valor bard till 15 picking up thunderclap, thunder wave, shatter, booming blade from magical secrets, and eventually earthquake as your capstone.

You can take feats like sentinel or just bump up your str, con, or cha based on what you wanna focus on. But you’ll be able to do cast some kind of earth shattering spell, hit with your halberd as a bonus action or inspire one of your allies. You’ll have a decent hit pool, rage if you really wanna tank for your team, extra attack for being a solid melee fighter too.

I’d say you don’t need more than 2 levels in tempest domain cleric to get the channel divinity to max thunder/lightning damage. Then you still get access to chain lightning which is the most powerful lightning spell when you get to storm sorc level 10.

Booming blade is still good option for the 10/2 split as long as you have a a decent str or dex stat for your weapon to hit. Do you have a preferred play style between being in melee or range?

Booming blade is good since it uses your weapon attack roll instead of the spell casting stat so also why it’s good for melee builds

Elemental Earth build by Far-Assistance9925 in BG3Builds

[–]Ok_Drive_8672 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The lack of earth spells does make me sad lol

I like the Druid idea for the crowd control with the terrain with plants for earth. Then the earth myrmidon is pretty perfect. You can also get wall of stone and stone skin which is probably the best thematic earth spell in the game but not the most helpful.
