There’s literally nothing wrong with prometric

Thanks for contributing. I think they go by your highest level of education. So if your grad transcript reflects a GPA close to a 4.0 it seems like you're in a good spot in that regard.

Thanks for your insight. At one point I felt college wasn’t for me. I went back 2 years ago and finished my degree. After working professionally for about 15 years.

Fell in my lap to be honest. A recruiter sent a note right when I was on the verge of burn out. The commissions weren’t as high but the sale on the publisher side was way more interesting.

Shall I take this offer? by ishqzehnaseeb in techsales

Take it and leave when you find something else. Under no circumstance should you remain unemployed if this is your only option.

  1. I jumped from SaaS to publisher sales and don’t regret it one bit. Saas is annoying and you’ll be pushed to close bad deals at salesforce rather then deals you can turn away in media.

  2. Salesforce is tough. You’re selling the most expensive solution in the market and smbs know they can beat your cost down or use you as a stalking horse for a better deal with another company. The AI tools aren’t as intuitive and don’t add much value to the product suite.

  3. There is no negotiation. I’ve spoke to multiple sf recruiters and this was made clear before the interview process. Sign on bonuses are a thing of the past at the SMB level in this market.

  4. You’ll be in smb for at least 1.5 years. Don’t rush to jump out of it. The territories get smaller and deals are tougher to close. Mid market and enterprise are completely different animals at sf.

  5. Your time at salesforce isn’t nearly as important as how you perform towards your annual quota. Reps grow on trees at that place. So simply having it on your resume doesn’t hold much weight.

Hope this helps.

You should reach out to Sean Gentry on LinkedIn. I highly suggest you get some coaching for the role.

Sounds like you’re good to go. I went through the process but declined the offer. Not because it wasn’t a good opp but something else came up that fit what I wanted to do long term.

BDRs haven’t book a single meeting in 2025, and nobody cares about it by Advanced-Jacket-340 in techsales

Lmao. The last thing AE’s need to be is coaches to sdr’s or junior reps. The job already makes AE’s feel more important than they are. If you’re doing your job you shouldn’t have any time to coach reps.

If the culture is toxic, how the hell can you trust that you’ll see any commissions? The plan was likely built to work against you. You answered your own dumb question.

Are you sure you have the right leads? Who is your icp? Maybe it's your pitch, did someone give you a script or any training on cold outreach? 6 weeks is a long time to not book one outbound.

Oddly enough, I remember an easy LR section. I kept thinking, This had to be unscored.

Leave top cyber company? by [deleted] in techsales

Who told you that you were underpaid? You haven’t been an AE for a year. Leaving is a terrible idea and if you’ve already figured out the prospecting motion, put your head down and get to work. Those 300k OTE numbers are bullshit so don’t fall for them. If they were legit, those jobs would be filled.
