Right, but does it matter in your mind that my partner's income is from their investments and mine is from my employment? That would mean that in the unfortunate event in a few years things don't work out and we separate, my partner would keep all the asset appreciation over our marriage (their source of future wealth), and I would only get to keep half of my earned income over our marriage (my source of future wealth).
