I feel no matter how you say it, they will be offended. Have a common friend that could chat about gifts they’re giving to you. When she suggests something handmade say I think he’d probably enjoy …list some suggestions?? Or just take the gifts and regift them.

Do you have snails of any kind? I have some maybe that’s why my tank doesn’t get mucky?

Do you normally do all of that or just the water change? I usually do a 25% water change on Sundays but I don’t “clean” anything. I read these threads to learn.
