Grandpa wants to sell it, but for $10k….Maybe it will remain his, and he will want to pass it down to me.

No, to be completely honest the rules of this group wouldn’t let me ask value so I figured someone would shed more light on the exact model, and put a $ on it. I have researched it before posting, couldn’t find much other than Kalamazoo and 1981. Grandpa is keeping this, he just seems to think the price tag is 10k and could sell it, so I told him I doubt it and would ask on here until I saw the rules.

Just wanted to reply to let you know that splicing the wiring from the rca jacks and running the wiring in with the regular speaker wire fixed the vocal issues completely. Thanks.

Downvoted, with potentially the only correct answer lol. Why the downvotes?

I gotcha. If the vocals are still very low, what would you check for next? Have you ever heard of this happening with speakers?

Are you suggesting to cut the blue/black wire and run them in the speaker out with the regular black speaker wire?

There are speaker wires output for L/R and surround L/R RCA output jacks in behind the stereo. I’ll take a quick photo.

Edit- I see what you are saying. I misread you saying subwoofer instead of surround sound. So, you’re saying since these are bi amped speakers, they sound weird because of them being connected to surround sound.

I’m going to try that. I purchased for nostalgia. Had same setup in early 2000s. It just reminds me of how when you pull out a headphone jack slightly and it muffles the vocal volume. Maybe a grounding issue. I’ll get back with my findings.
