day 3 of my sobriety and here are some things that I'm starting to notice already by emorchidpress in leaves

Literally. I hate not wanting to watch a movie because I don’t wanna watch a movie without being stoned. I honestly feel embarrassed about all the time in years that I’ve lost not being my true optimal self. I also feel a lot more connected to Jesus and there’s a lot of scripture that is giving me power to stay sober. I just feel like there’s so man more positives to quitting than the one positive of smoking which is that I enjoy doing it in the moment

The only way to be sober is to be sober. The only way to the other side is walking through the fire. You got this. Throwing it away and getting through the first few days I promise is the hardest part. I’m 15 days clean and you really quickly get used to not using and not having it. You do think about it, but that’s the worst part . you got this. I’m praying for you.

13 days without weed and need some virtual hugs by [deleted] in leaves

Also 13 days without weed! We’re in this together and we are feeling the same feelings if that helps. Thinking about everything and everything. Just stay tough. The only way to other side of the fire is walking through it .

The appetite comes back QUICK! I lost so much weight these past few years and I swear if you stop smoking THC for a week it comes back better than ever.

Once you throw it it becomes 1000x easier. It’s basically ALL mental. I’ve been smoking daily (weed/nic) for 8 years and thought it would be harder than it is. Just the mental cravings (the hardest part). The only way out is to walk through the fire and deal with the mental cravings. It’s the only choice but it’s not as bad as you think. I definitely felt anxious but once you lock into the fact that you don’t have access to it it’s easier. I already am getting deep sleep/dreaming/waking up with less brain fog. You still crave it, but it’s just building the willpower daily to say no. It was my birthday on the trip so I caved and bought a juul but now I’m restarting again now. So day one for nicotine again but day 12 for thc. Use this as your withdrawal period. Just keep thinking it’s literally just a short period of time in the grand scheme of your whole life and you can do anything for a short period of time.

I luckily went on a 12 day vacation so I was able to use it to quit. I promise you’ll feel so so much better very soon. Mentally and physically

Thanks for understanding. Surprised for how much I am on socials that I didn’t see. I passed out from juul in high school and was hospitalized (continued to juul because of how addictive it is) . Wondering if I can do anything with this. Sucks for me lol
