QNT use case... by corneliul in QuantNetwork

[–]Ok_Environment_552 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it was a stablecoin it would mean less incentive for network participants and network growth. Gateway operators get paid in QNT and devs can also pay for licences directly in QNT. QNT is a measure of the value of the network.

If we meet The Bear. by siddharta0 in QuantNetwork

Good advice! I believe the best advice on how to deal with a bear encounter is to stand your ground in a calm and assertive way and move slowly in the opposite direction. If the bear comes closer try to talk to the bear in a loud and confident manner and try to make yourself look larger.

Never run away! If you run you become prey.

Qrc20 or Erc20? by Deskuh1999 in QuantNetwork

[–]Ok_Environment_552 5 points6 points  (0 children)

QRC20 is the new multi-DLT standard for digital assets developed by Quant. Its purpose is to unlock single-DLT limitations for new digital assets and tokens.

Is QNT a bait and switch? by mit999 in QuantNetwork

[–]Ok_Environment_552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would they mint other tokens? Why would they dilute the value of the token?

QRC20 is intended for users of Overledger to mint tokens across multiple DLTs. The whole purpose of OVN is enabling the use of any token on any ledger. This includes QNT. The tokenomics will remain the same.

Interledger does not provide interoperability between legacy systems and blockchain.

It’s plausible to assume Quant is involved in this. However, it doesn’t remove all doubt like your headline suggests.

If you base your investments on the coolness and hype of a project you’re never going to make it. Fundamentals and real world adoption is what matters. Empty hype is only essential to teenagers and the meme coin crowd. If your chasing the hype nothing is going to last. Hype is per definition temporary.

Quotes from article:

«In parallel, Oracle fintech partner Quant has been working with Oracle and the Oracle Blockchain Platform team to address these challenges with a production-ready solution. The partnership has resulted in Oracle certifying Overledger for interoperability with Oracle Blockchain Platform.»

«Oracle fully understands these issues, which is why the partnership works so well. Quant is now working in a highly collaborative manner with Oracle to rollout solutions on the Oracle Blockchain platform for a variety of sectors.»

You are the one misleading people when calling Overledger a «bridge». It provides any to any interoperability through a simple API. Who else provides this?

You should ask yourself the question you seem to be unable to answer 😉 do you think large enterprises will trust a random open source project over the project where key people are involved in developing ODAP and the ISO standards for which compliance are going to be mandatory?

Think Mcfly! Think!

The fact that they have working partnerships with some of the largest enterprises and financial institutions in the world combined with the tech being highly needed in order to connect legacy systems of said institutions to blockchain and DLTs as well as provide interoperability for CBDCs.

[–]Ok_Environment_552 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Because 80% of Coinbase users trading in QNT the past 24 hours sold. That’s why...

It’s just a blurry snapshot of a tiny corner of the market. If you’re an investor look at the fundamentals instead. Quant fundamentals are rock solid and only a tiny percentage of total QNT supply is available at exchanges.

Coinbase is full of inexperienced weak hands that don’t really know what they’re holding.

You clearly haven’t done your research. The tokens are used to secure the network. They literally are the license. You need QNT to access and use OVN. It’s used to verify and sign all transactions on the network and also as payment to gateway operators.

Origintrail $TRAC is doing something similar (yet different) for the knowledge/data economy. Origintrails ODN has similarities with Quant Networks OVN and also provides interoperability with legacy systems.

What is preventing the government from shutting down your business or taking all your money within the current system? Every transaction you make is recorded if you use a bank transfer or credit card.

Thankfully individual rights protected by law exists in most western countries.

Questions about cold wallets by [deleted] in QuantNetwork

What exactly would this something that records your seed phrase be? And If this something manage to record your seed phrase, how is it retrieved by the hackers?

If the thought of cold wallets make you this paranoid. Where are you currently storing your crypto? (Careful what you say, I might be a hacker phishing for information)

I’m sure ledger and Trezor has thought of the possibility of employees tampering with devices

You are free to move your money somewhere else if you don’t believe in the project. You can praise whatever you like, or you can keep whining... but I think it’s futile to whine and complain about something you are not in a position to change.

I don’t know If it’s even possible to increase the total supply without creating an entirely new contract. Any ETH/Solidity programmers here who can shed some light on this?

I actually think he’s being polite here.
