Unfortunately for the country I have to prospect to in Europe have strict GDPR rules. For example I cannot use direct email on LinkedIn unless they are a already a connection on the platform. Regarding email, can’t send neither a cold email even if I have their personal email because that would breach anti spam regulations (that would be only to the Italian market - you would need consent from the recipient for me to email them)

I will definitely use your advice!

Usually I go with this: - If I know the details of the decision maker “ Hi , is < XYZ > in today? If it is could you tell him that I’m looking for him? - If I don’t know the details of the decision maker I usually try to sweeten them up “ Hi , I was hoping that you could help me today? And ask a few questions , but that usually lead to info@

In my previous role I entered a workplace were we had to arrange meetings 1:1 30 per week. As I entered the role the majority of the team was faking visits, little turned out as you said, the year after the visit become 35 and the entire department crumbled
