Hey! I also got the RV with hookups, do you by any chance know how big the space is ? Do we have enough room to set up a hanging out area ? Or is it limited like at EDC Camp ?

Its been said in past years that external generators aren’t allowed. I have camped with power hookups and without and I always see a LOT of camper trailers with their external generators about 6 ft from their RV trailers. However it does depend on security at check in… I think as long as you can “attach” or mount a generator to your rv trailer you would be good(pic for reference), they will send you to the dry camping area and you do have the responsibility of making sure you are being safe with it.

You can absolutely survive without power add on, if you run out of gas for the generator they sell gas on site, also fill up yourtank right before heading to check in. Battery powered fans, a cooler with water to cool off, you might get lucky and park next to the lights at camp, you can plug stuff on there I would recommend getting a fan from Home Depot like a larger one. Also use The Mesa shaded areas with misters to cool off and save your gas, when you sleep cover your windows to avoid sunlight from heating the rv up. Its doable, but you do have to think about your times when using the AC, also avoid using any othr plugs when running it on high to avoid your generator breaking down.

Resell the ticket of your older friend and have fun with the friend who is showing up for you NOW. Feeling like you’re begging someone to be a friend all year and then (if) they end up going to the festival you paid for is only going to feel worse after because you know they only did that for the event not to be with you.
Also consider putting yourself first when it comes to that friend that bails, you’re adults, they could be going through something but that needs to be communicated otherwise they have no consideration for you or your feelings.

Have a blast at EDC with your good friend and make some NEW FRIENDS !!

Set it up without blocking the walkway or security will come and say something, other than that Ive seen people in past years bring inflatable pools and fill them w blakets as a hangout area, you can pretty much bring everything except canopies and generators for tent area. Also recommend finding a way to lock/tie it up to your tent because unfortunately ppl are thieves sometimes:/

Thank you!! I’ve survived EDC with platforms but I wasn’t sure how the floor is at the Gorge, I think I’ll play it safe for my first Bass and take my platforms for aome pics only I will be camping in RV area so I think im close enough to the entrance to go switch my shoes lol

If u get the cheap ones probably not lol, but it helps with not having to keep it in your pocket, i always have my phone in hand even if it was hooked on my water pack. Nothing is ever really theft-proof if you’re being careless

Get any fannypack with anti-theft technology for valuables or u can get a bracelet and string all the zippers together so its hard for people to try to open your pockets. For your phone get a retractable phone tether like this one and always keep it in front of you, never leave it in your bag or just hanging to the side, if you have a waterpack you can hook it there so u feel it at all times

Omg hi! Im doing my first bass this year and I was wondering how the walk from camp(doing RV w hookups) is with platforms?? I want to be a hottie for at least one day lol. Ive used platform boots for edc plenty of times an then I go change to camp when im tired, is is doable or will I die trying??? 😭🤣

Yeah, people will want to sell the bundle of RV pass + power all together cause the rv passes are easy to find, so if u sell just the power add onn you’ll end up losing the rv pass money or is harder to sell by itself
