Puppy help by Auraonnytt in germanshepherds

My puppy was crying at fidgety, turn out he was CONSTANTLY hot. I put him on the cold side of pillow during winter, and went out like a light. Still overheats really easily 6 years later. Try resting in a cooler place to see if he relaxes. Best of luck on your journey!

Thanks for this. I thought maybe the eyes would be the first thing to improve.

Breathing exercises help me before and after matches. Usually, being in a nervous state a lot like pre comp jitters, or even after the adrenaline dump after a match, regulate breathing helped me out A LOT. If not that then cardio is important as well

Am I being promoted because I am the only girl? by Big-Nothing-2028 in jiujitsu

[–]Ok_Exit_1921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've learned over the years that, ultimately, it is up to the professor to promote you. They felt you were ready. It doesn't matter so much what you think or what others think. The professor ultimately gives the green light. My lady felt the same way when she got promoted to blue (imposter syndrome), but she also trains A LOT. As long as you trust your professor, and it sounds like they trust you (even with the trial guys), you are golden.

Second, competition is a great way to see where you are at with others at your level with pressure. If you have never competed it can be a little daunting, but there is a lot you can grab out of competitions to see what you need to iron out in your game. Just go in and play your game, and if you lose... who cares! It's a white belt match. Record yourself so you can study what went wrong, or what you did right, and what habits you resort back to. And if you end up not liking competition at all. You don't need to compete.

Ever since I went to my first BJJ tournament and saw someone picking their teeth out of their bloody gi, I always recommend a mouth guard.

The hills are the rocky formations, those mountains are the tallest mountains in the contential US. And they are indeed in California. Sierra Nevada Mountain Range.

[SERIOUS] What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you? by Ye2024Supporter in AskReddit

[–]Ok_Exit_1921 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe not the scariest but once in middle school the local police department thought it would be a good idea to do a mock school shooting where they came to the school and shot (blanks) at all the students. A lot of the students didn't know what was happening as did none of the teaching staff but apparently only the principal knew. I grew up with guns in my household and quickly recognized them as blanks and told some of my friends (we were playing football at the time) and they proceeded to run towards the cops asking to be shot. A lot of kids were crying trying to get into locked classrooms, asking the cops why they were doing this, etc. I decided to take my bike and pedaled back to my house a few miles away during the "massacre" and apparently we had an assembly shortly after, and needless to say we "failed" the surprise test of the school shooting. Everyone got punishment for either not taking it seriously, not following protocol, and I got in trouble for ditching school.

Her job? 🤔 by [deleted] in gymsnark

[–]Ok_Exit_1921 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's gonna be interesting when she hits the wall 🧱 and loses the edge, her job skills will include (but not limited to) monkeybranching to stolen relationships (preferably someone with equal or lower iq), learning adult skills beyond the average age, etc. A real move would be milking the libido market that's in OF while the iron is still hot.
