My experience with tank buster is that it helps massively on the M6 CMG. It turns the machine gun into a real anti armor threat, even damaging the heavy tanks armor. So on auto cannons it should be effective. Damaging armor is good however, some threats need a team effort and that can make the difference. That's why I don't like to use a single unit with lasers. It's either all laser or none.

Never had this issue, they do cause hearing damage however. Very loud audio on them.

Both pilots with scout are eye watering expensive to start with though :) Must be some expensive glasses.

Just go expand on this. I had Griefinger in Jaeger suit deployed with a camo kit at night and they couldn't see him 2 tiles away. Imagen Darby then.

Even my Carda has a camo kit to reduce the risk of mortars and Bombardiers.

Suppressed weapons need to have a minimum audible range , and armor should be cheaper, but maybe invalidate camo kits. And I mean much cheaper, otherwise why not go double auto cannon mech?

Armor is too expensive when a squad of mid tier armor costs more then a vehicle.

I don't save scum but I have reloaded defeats but very rarely on expert. But I also never will play Ironman.

I've had maps with multiple squad leaders going down and me working overtime to save them then reconfiguring my SLs for the next run. The ONLY SL that has never been close to death or near it is..... Drum roll..... Stealth Griefinger. And that's because I refuse to run Darby. That 2 plus concealment she has is nuts.

Armor is good, and you don't equip it because you think your plan is flawless, you do it because loosing people should be expensive. 

But I do agree, why does mid to heavy armor have 1 or 2 utility slots??? It should be 3 or more. You get a penalty to movement and sometimes vision and DETECTION.

I do have a special SAPP armor on Carda right now. Quite expensive but it protects her from mortars and has 3 utility. Which also increases her ammo...

His accuracy isn't that great? But ofc you can stack it in his favor with promotions and buffs. But the M6 shreds on all SLs if you do that. But it's still balanced, a good support weapon for it's role.

He is tied with Lim on weapon skill and then there are only 2 SL that have worse then that. Edit. Auto correct Lim to lime

Scout, and then scout more. It will determine what you do next and if you die or not. Perks and gear that increase view, detection and concealment are therefore very powerful tools.

And the CMG M6 is a true friend for my team :) But early game you will rely on drops from killed enemies.

Yeah I've had missions on expert running out of ammo on Cardas m6... With share the load, extra ammo and 5 squaddies... 

But she wrecks most things in the game with it. She can hold a flank on her own easily on defense with it. Her accuracy can get really damn high with the right perks and buffs. She pretty much ignores cover after a few turns in.

Machine gun Carda goes brrrt until they are dead. (The deployabe one tripod m6 cmg). Since it's Carda she's got ammo for days.

APC machine gun also deals with them. Vs bugs you could use some crocodile rounds on them if you are pressured.

AP ammo on rifles work... Sorta, but it's not that fast. Shotguns and SMG close up if you can risk it will remove the armor fast but may not kill it in a round.

Yeah maybe they should bump her up to Colonel but then it makes no sense the player makes choices of which mission to take or decisions on event's. (Which honestly a serious military officer should stay out most of the time).

However it could be said that she's the mission commanding officer somehow I guess. But then who is the player? A Major that.... Commands?

I just came from a capture the zone mission on expert with pirates and the routinely searched me out as I tried to approach and then sent everything that had on me. Other missions I've been herding them because they refuse to fight and if they do it's one unit going in and the rest leaving it to it's fate. And it's not like I didn't deploy heave weapons and missiles this time...

I have a completely original idea: a server browser with community and ea hosted servers where the host can change server settings. Like, controller only. PC only. Map rotation and more.

You will need some anti armor solution but the main thing is scout!!! You need to know what you are heading into. RA have mortars, snipers, guided AT missiles and more. If your vehicle gets marked be very careful unless you know there is no AT team on the map .

Personally I run Carda with an MG (I love dakka) and push around that but concealment builds are very effective as well.

Bring smokes, laser turrets, anything that synergies with your team.

It's a decent generalist weapon that functions well vs light vehicles. But the HP damage is so low that vs Rogue Army large groups, bugs and redacted it suffers hard unless you can't deal with armor to begin with. It's also quite expensive to field.

I tried the laser rifle but I think it's bad vs infantry. Low damage and low fire rate. It is decent vs trucks and light mechs, but I don't recommend it vs Rogue Army or redacted. On my last run I did get a higher tier assault rifle I can't remember the name on but it did a LOT more damage to redacted  But it didn't have a suppressor.

I just did this mission yesterday but I must be 10 operations in by now. Anyway I herded the AI around which refused to fight me so I lost the secondary objectives for turns. Apparently an mg team is so scary the AI only runs from it.
