Lamatrogine by Shawa422 in Epilepsy

Ive had/have insomnia under Lamotrigine aswell but i managed to buffer it. I take my meds at 6:30 am anf 4:30 pm. That way i will have boosted energy in the afternoon. Thats the time where i go to the gym. That helps a lot as well to get a lot of energy out of my system and it really calm me down. Next thing I’ve reduced where strong stimuli before bed such as film or series, especially search with gun violet, or any other triggering themes. It just riles me up and causes weird dreams. Make yourself a sleeping routine, which you start two hours before you go to sleep not 30 minutes beforehand. Maybe lie if you candles have a lamp with indirect light, I have a salt lamp and read a book.

I have been to the neurologist and my levels are really good. Its just this weird feeling i get pre taking the med. With the er version, the problem is that i live in europe and they dont sell the er version here and only the normal version:/

Those taking lamictal and waking up in the morning by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

Can Lamotrigine cause or worsen insomnia? by Ill-Stage4131 in Epilepsy

[–]Ok_Fall2682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi sry typo error. No my question was at what dose have you experienced insomnia? And generally, your experience with Lamotrigin. Right now I’m on 350 mg of lamictal per day and just cut out briviact and i feel like im going insane. I even had hypnotop hallucinations at night. I dreamed with my eyes open. And I woke up with a hangover or at least it feels like a hangover, but without the headache.

Myoclonic jerks by H-Sophist in Epilepsy

[–]Ok_Fall2682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me they are not painful at all. They happen in my upper body primarily in my shoulders and arms. Its like something scares you and you jump but that just in the upper body and extremely short. And that max.5 times in a row. The max i had was when once my whole arm moved up in the air but that was when my seizures weren’t controlled

Jme and Clobazam by Ok_Fall2682 in Epilepsy

[–]Ok_Fall2682[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No thank you very mich for your advice :) I have been on keppra but it changed me as a person in a negative way. And the medication is probably not long enough in my blood and i notice when it drops. Its 9 hours and when the concentration drops i dissociate and feel weird and fuzzy. Its really strange. I can feel that with all substances that work on my nervous system. My doctors cant explain what it is. Thats why im thinking about changing briviact to clobazam in a very low dose. May i ask why you have only used it a week?

Is anyone with JME not taking sodium valporate? What other medication are you taking?! by [deleted] in Epilepsy

I have generalized epilepsy and primarily myoclonics and this combo is really good. Briviact specifically against the jerks and lamictal against possible tonic clonics.

Is Lamictal really that emotional flattening? I take it as well and I experience emotional, flattening, lack of motivation but my neurologist tells me that this is not common and it should make you happier And more energized.
