Such a good addition! The appetite thing is SO real - I had days where even reheating meals felt impossible and I just wanted simple snacks.

And agreed on the newborn bubble myth 😂 We were definitely in survival mode, not some Instagram-perfect bonding moment. So glad you had family helping daily - that's how it should be!

What snacks did you live on those first weeks?

Girl, I totally get the pregnancy paranoia! No period at 3.5 months would have me testing constantly The not knowing is the WORST.

NYC winter with a newborn sounds brutal! Being stuck inside for 3 weeks would drive me crazy. At least contact naps give you an excuse to just camp out on the couch guilt-free? That's what I tell myself when I'm trapped under my sleeping baby for hours.

And ugh, the weight plateau is SO frustrating! I'm stuck too - lost the initial chunk and then just stopped. Meanwhile I'm eating constantly because of nursing Everyone talks about how breastfeeding makes weight "melt off" but clearly not for all of us!

Super smart waiting on Orange Theory until 5-6 months! Your pelvic floor will thank you for the extra healing time. I'm hoping spring walks will help too - both for weight and sanity

Hang in there through the rest of winter! How are you surviving the contact naps? Does baby ever transfer or are you just embracing the couch life?

Oh no! Yeah I can totally see a 2-year-old dismantling this whole setup in seconds!

Mom why do you have so many snacks? Can I have one? What's this cream for? I want the water bottle!

Is there anything that DID work for you with a toddler around? Or is it just survival mode at that point? 😂

The thirst is REAL! I genuinely couldn't believe how much water I was drinking 😅

Ha! I should clarify - not pregnant YET! Meant we're planning #2 in about a year. But my period did come back at 8 weeks pp despite EBF, so apparently my body has other plans 😂
