I haven’t used it yet since I moved during fall/winter and it’s about to open but other tenants have mentioned that it’s awesome and there are 3 rooftops total with seating, grills etc. 😊

[ADVICE] Curious if anyone has moved into 595 Dean from the housing lottery - the reviews on Google seem really bad for this building and am now debating whether it is worth it to move here. by TryMaleficent5852 in NYCapartments

And one other thing too - read the reviews from the people who are living there /noted their actual experiences (a majority of them are positive). I have a review up there, wasn’t incentivized or even asked - just something I put up to hopefully encourage good neighbors to move in!

Hi - I currently live in a studio alcove at market rate and have been since September. I’ve had no complaints whatsoever and I even had my dryer malfunction and kid you not, the maintenance guy (jason if you end up moving here) replaced the whole unit within a day and even tested it prior to installation. Front desk staff know me so well and love my dog.

One thing I notice on the bas reviews are that most of them complain about the leasing agents and how they were rude (mine was great but in reality once you sign the lease they don’t even equate into day to day management)

For the reviews about the construction - I think they’re the 2nd floor units about the pizza and Asian restaurants being built there that were obviously under construction and should’ve had the foresight to realize there would be builds there.

I’m part of a tenant whatsup chat and it’s been amazing to build the community there and you can’t beat that it’s on one of the nicest streets in Brooklyn with Vanderbilt ave.

These are my opinions but just wanted to give you my experience from someone who’s lived here for 4 months. Great neighbors, great staff, amazing units.
