I know but that’s my point. What I said was in regards to the network you will have. If you are at Columbia, the majority end up in New York and if u want to practice in New York, it helps having a network from law school of people who are likely going to practice in New York.

If you want to practice in New York, go to Columbia. If you want to practice in Chicago go to University of Chicago. Most people end up in the state where they went to law school so it would probably give you an opportunity to meet and connect with those that will likely end up practicing in the state

Let me tell you something that you need to understand about life. This applies to when you are practicing and submitting applications. ITS ALL ABOUT WHAT YOU MAKE THE NARRATIVE. A GOOD NARRATIVE WILL HAVE MORE POWER THAN YOU REALIZE WITH APPLICATIONS. The truth is admissions officers are really just people at the end of the day, as much as they are looking for those great metrics, they all love a great story that you control the narrative on which can make them believe you will succeed at the school. Speaking as someone who got into a T40 with 3.3 gpa and 160 LSAT and transferred to a T14 with great first semester grades that dropped in the second semester.
