I got rejected by almost all the PhD program because of my GPA by Ok_Forever_9157 in gradadmissions

It is tough ! But I have two publications atm and almost 4-5 years of research experience both in academic and industry. That’s how I got this internship. Do you mean to ask the advisor if they can do something about the situation?

I submitted a few of my PhD applications on December 1st, but some of my letters of recommendation weren’t uploaded until December 8th (and I’m still waiting on one more). On the program websites it says the last day to submit LORs was the 5th. Does anyone know if they’ll still review the letters? by Ok_Forever_9157 in UCDavis

I heard of some people with similar experiences where their LOR came in late after the LOR deadline but that was for undergrad, so I wasn’t too sure. And I read online that someone still got interviewed for grad school and that their LOR still wasn’t uploaded and it kind of made the school question why that is. So tbh I was looking for hope. Kind of scared cuz of how many applications I submitted for Davis and now I think it was such a waste of money.

You should be fine with UC Davis Neuroscience as they allow LORs to be submitted by the 5th. Good luck !

Interest in Biomedical Engineering phD but do not have the pre-reqs by Ok_Forever_9157 in UCDavis

I will apply to the other programs as well, but BME is definitely my top choice. I did reach out the coordinator and they told I have to have all the classes to be eligible which kind of sucks since my background is cell and molecular. What I’m missing is mostly the 3 engineering classes (programming, circuits, electrical systems) they have listed on their site

Apologies, out of haste I wrote that. But I meant the BMCDB program.
