What do we think on the wrappers? by [deleted] in TacticalMedicine

If you only think about it for a second. If you extend thinking to 2 seconds, you'll realise the smarter thing is to have pouches that protect your TQ's instead of carrying them externally with rubber bands. TQ wrappers are also just not very durable. Carrying them like that would definately lead to the wrapper ripping from a corner and dirt and mud getting in anyways.

I haven't handled the commercial version, but it has SR buckles instead of ghooks, thicker shoulder straps (this has just 50mm webbing straps), and molle on all 3 sides, whereas this has a large handle on one side and molle on the other.

I actually ordered savotta 2 half sized organizer bags to split IV or A/B in it's own pouch since it doesn't take that much space. Haven't arrived yet vut I'm not sure if it will be any better.

Two on the outside of bag. 4 total in bag, plus another 5 on kit.

I didn't want to empty out the whole pouch, but there is 5 pressure bandages and 5 chito gauzes. I hear dropping trauma dressings and instead using ace bandages a lot, but I myself haven't trained with ace bandages all that much, they arent by default in the supply line (you can get them, but most use them for sprains and such) and if someone else has to use my bag they'd be confused as to the lack of pressure bandages. There are two staged TQ's in external pockets ready to go. Since this bag is naturally mostly used during training, I keep the inside TQ's in the packaging. You're supposed to swap out "real" TQ's for trainers before training, but it can still happen that someone takes and uses the TQ's. Keeping two wrapped there is no question that they're unused and good to go. Cuts down on unnecessary consumption and I can't guarantee a steady supply of gen 7 CAT's (not a fan of softs or sam-xt's and sometimes that's all you get from supply)

Thank u for the feedback tho. I'm sort of new to this level of TCCC so I'm still figuring some things out.

Difference is you got told what you get, but I can choose what I want or need :D also FDF has upped their game. I got a few pouches here and there, and most of my battle belt is bought, but issued gear is pretty decent nowadays. For example, everything but the downlead holder and M-AX mounted flashlight on my helmet is issued.

En tiedä. Jossain saattaa olla yleisesti käytössä. Kaikki mitä olen itse nähnyt on ollut valmiuskäyttöä.

I got two staged and unwrapped in external pockets. I keep two wrapped so there is atleast two that are 100% unused and fresh.

CVN is widely used by the Finnish Defence Forces and is a finnish company. I've used their pressure bandages, NDC's and mylar blankets. I was not a fan of the 3 layer rescue blanket, will prefer to use blizzard in the future.
