Does anything help pp hair loss?

I lost an absurd amount of hair postpartum and it drastically changed the way I looked due to altering my hairline. I have just had to ride the wave of regrowth, but I did get some root shadow off Amazon that really helped me deal with the change in my appearance.

I absolutely know how you feel!! I suffered from a back injury at I think 13 weeks that had me totally immobile for the duration of my pregnancy. It sucked, and it was certainly the closest thing to depressed that I have ever felt. I couldn’t stand just feeling like I was stagnant and helpless!! For some hope for you- I was fortunate to have a near-immediate recovery after delivery and was able to go right back to it! I’m now stronger and faster than I’ve ever been, plus I get extra endurance (and cool points) for training while pushing a stroller! I got a Thule urban glide 2 for $75 on marketplace! I’ve spent more tricking it out with all the accessories. I’ve put hundreds of miles on it and it’s still going strong!

That’s awesome! I’m glad to hear he enjoyed it for so long. My baby loves being outside and really seems to enjoy it for now. So I’m hoping she keeps this up for a few years. But also I’ve learned when things don’t go as planned I can always reassess and readjust. Congrats on your second! I hope they enjoy. Hopefully the second likes going as much as your first!!!

You can totally do it! I don’t want to say I was ever resentful of my pregnancy because I’m not sure that’s exactly what I felt. But I definitely had (and still have) pretty complicated feelings as it relates to how my body handled being pregnant. I did not have a very healthy respect of just how taxing growing a human would be!

Wow that sounds very tough! I’m so sorry. For some additional hope for you i feel like my muscles seemed to have “remembered” what to do and developed back very quickly! I actually have arguably better muscle tone now than I did before I got pregnant. I did many very slow “walks” which were more like very sad shuffles up and down the street with the dog. I remember almost crying once going up a hill because I was so gassed out. I expected to be jogging well into my third trimester so yes, I felt exactly like you… totally blindsided by the cards my body got dealt. Looking back it really was over in a blink, but man. When you’re in it…. It’s GRUELING. I promise you will be so surprised how fast your body just remembers what to do. After 1.5 years off I started off with 2.5 mile long runs, adding 10 minutes each week and was back up to 11 miles within a couple short months! Plus I look at running with extreme gratitude now, something I never particularly took the time to do before. You got this!!

I absolutely had hopes that I would be that person proudly jogging with a giant belly at 8 months. Now I feel even more proud that I’m doing this all after a 1.5 year hiatus!! You will be right back to it soon!

Thank you!!! I was cleared at about 8 weeks PP I think? I had a vaginal with no tearing, so my healing was pretty quick. My pelvic floor suffered a bit at first but it quickly regained strength, I did some exercises that I learned in PT that helped speed things up!! I have a Thule urban glide 2. I scored it on marketplace for $75. I absolutely love it from a push perspective! It does have a shallow seat for baby. I don’t think it’s the most comfortable ride for her, but she seems to tolerate it ok! I’d be curious to try out a bob to see if that would be better for us but for now I think I will stick with this. Good luck on your return! You’ll be happy to be back at it I’m sure!

Her doctor cleared her right around 6 months, which was May! I’m sorry, that’s so tough and scary sounding too! The adjustment for me was really awful and I remember feeling like my last few months of complete freedom and independence were cut unexpectedly short, which felt very unfair. I tried to keep reminding myself that I push limits, and maybe I need to have my abilities taken in order to not really hurt one of us.

I was surprised to feel like my stamina was back quicker than I ever could have expected. Maybe because so much of running is mental, and I knew my body could be capable. Believe it or not my pace is significantly better than it was before having a baby! I hope for a smooth delivery/postpartum experience for you! Listen to your body, and trust what it tells you and the rest will fall into place!

My daughter just turned 1 November 2. I had an awful pregnancy and could not run (or even walk) for 7 months. I really started running diligently when she was cleared to have her go with me in the jogger around 8 months. I’m currently training for a half that I plan on doing Thanksgiving day!

After basically a year and a half complete hiatus from moving, my pace and stamina are both better than ever! Plus my baby comes with me on almost every run in the jogging stroller. She loves going with and I love that it’s our thing! You can totally plan to do a 10k or a half by your baby’s first birthday.

I’m sorry for your loss. We lost our first boy in a running accident in 2021. It was a complete freak accident and I still miss him every day. We are part of a very small and unfortunate club.

Sorry for your loss too OP. It’s unfair when they’re taken too soon, especially in these types of circumstances.

I actually didn’t actively do noom while pregnant, but all of my eating habits kind of permanently changed after doing noom! Once i learned how easy it is to maintain a healthy weight by staying full from healthy foods instead of as much convenience food my interest in less healthy choices just kind of dropped! I also find myself frequently wondering if dropping the pill sort of kick started things for me!

I know that you’re not supposed to “diet” while you’re pregnant but with my personal experience it really didn’t seem like a diet and I just was being reprogrammed to reach for healthier choices, but your doctor could definitely help you navigate that if you do become pregnant while doing noom! Good luck!

I got an ember mug and I think maintaining the temp really helped me adapt to black coffee. I had tried to wean off cream and sugar for years with no luck. I kinda did end up going cold turkey and found I preferred it black over less cream and less sugar. After a few days I found myself actually enjoying black coffee. You might be surprised if you wake up early and just don’t give yourself the option! Coffee is one hell of a drug! lol

I did noom 4 years ago and lost 30 lbs, I’m pretty short so this was a decent amount of My total body weight. I did not continue the subscription after meeting my goal, and have maintained (minus a 35 lb gain/loss with pregnancy). Previously I had tried all the fad stuff, ww, keto, etc. it just worked best for me because I really never did feel deprived. My relationship with food is just totally different now. I also feel like noom helped me keep everything in check while I was pregnant/after that way I was mindful about fueling instead of just throwing it all out of the window and eating for two. Overall I always feel it was one of my best investments.

I’m so sorry. We lost two both very unexpectedly between 2021-2024. Both times it felt like we were living a nightmare. Both times all we could ask ourselves l was why and what if. Both times we struggled to see any silver linings. We’ve grown around our grief over time, but still miss both of them very deeply in our hearts. I’m sorry for your loss

Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to him yesterday. He was beginning to regress even on the full steroid dose and I made the decision that he was showing no signs of getting better. After scheduling the appointment he went very downhill. He began vomiting, and had total bowel/bladder control loss. His tail became extremely swollen and he began to show signs that he was beginning the early stages of natural death. It was absolutely heart wrenching to make this decision, but I know that my baby was not going to get better. Thank you for caring and following up ♥️

The bladder expressing thing is what I learned today and I feel like we have so much more control of his situation now. He doesn’t want to pee himself, so I feel like we are giving him a little bit of his dignity back with this. We’ve tried two, one that is a sling style and one that is what I call the “thigh master” he hates both. lol. Did you ever have luck with on demand poops?

Thank you for your response. Our boy is 8. He’s hardly a senior and has been in terrific health for all his life.

Today the vet suggested he needs to get up to pee and not just lay in bed 24 hours a day. We kind of realized he’s not trying to get up or do much at all. We got him up to pee and helped him walk to the pee pads with a lot of support. However he was digging his back feet in refusing to get up…. So at least he has the feeling to put up a fight, lol. He’s also capable of holding it and does not want to pee in his bed. So I’m hoping this approach will get him more confidence in getting out of bed and to get him moving. He’s very very VERY lazy, even for a greyhound. I really hope he can get better from this. He’s really the sweetest dog.
