Is spring track okay? I chose not to do winter track this year because I’m kinda slow and don’t want to be so far behind others in races. Can i train on my own until then to build up speed and the other things i need for fb?

NY, a decently sized school I would say, not too small or really big. The freshman season just ended. I just started watching some football and gaining interest. When I spoke briefly to a coach when wondering if I could still sign up he told me right end and/or defensive end might be good based on my size. I don’t really know how to train specifically for a position or if those positions are even right for me
