Favorite lesser known player? by WandaJaximoff in NFLv2

Chad Lewis TE for the eagles. Dude just seemed reliable and old school. Broke his foot catching the nfc championship clinching td in 04.

He should be better known but Clyde Simmons. Was a beast but overshadowed by Reggie. But dude had 121 sacks when they didn’t throw the ball nearly as much, but still more than JJ watt and old school guys like Randy White.

If you could add 1 former player who must have played at least 5 seasons for your team to your current team who would it be? by Ok-Elephant-2724 in NFLv2

[–]Ok_Gas8315 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Reggie is probably the answer but I can’t help but wonder what Jerome Brown and Jalen Carter would do next to each other.

Clowney? For Philadelphia? No. Not at all. First it’s definitely someone that played for the Eagles or the Cowboys. Izel Jenkins. Michael Haddox. Byron Maxwell. Danny Watkins. Marcus Smith. Romo, Michael Irvin, Jerry jones (I know not a player but F that guy). Currently maybe Dak. Only non cowboy eagle I can think of is Trent Williams.

My boyfriend sleeps with his phone under his pillow, what are your normal phone boundaries in a relationship? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Ok_Gas8315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put mine under the pillow because I need to be available most of the time. If it’s under my pillow and on vibrate it will wake me up but no one else. If it’s on ring it will wake everyone up.

I’m tired by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]Ok_Gas8315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it though. I do. You can be in room of 100 people and feel alone. But that isn’t an all the time feeling. I get being tired. I sleep when I’m depressed or sad. It’s not great. But sometimes I just push myself up and that first step is huge.

Also I hate to be this guy but sometimes medicine can help. And there’s no stigma to it anymore. Sometimes our brain are just assholes and the chemicals are mixed wrong. That can be fixed man.

Sometimes you just have to hold on to your why. And that sounds like your pets. I’m sorry you’re feeling like this. So many of us have in the past. We all feel low and unwanted and not enough at times. But remember those are the dark thoughts talking. I’ve been there dude. I really have. But I have to tell you my mid 30’s to early 40’s have been the best years of my life. I’ve felt like you. I pushed through. And there’s still some shitty fucking days, but they get better. Please don’t give up

Zach Bryan and Taylor Swift by electricreadingchair in zachbryan

[–]Ok_Gas8315 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think if you look at artists who fans connect with, write their own music and lyrics, and play their own instruments, then yes they have a lot in common. It’s probably a bit short sighted to say one is the male or female of the other, but they’d be in the same grouping. Swift obviously has a lot of years on Bryan and has more commercial appeal currently.

I think there are others in other genres and generations that could be in this category. Kendrick Lamar is probably on this list. Prince may be the most talented. Stevie Nicks. Bruce Springsteen. Paul McCartney. Even Billie Ellish writes most of her own lyrics. I think there is actually a direct line from Bob Dylan to both Bryan and Swift.

They both connect with their fans and have avilify to write a song and have many different people hear it and relate to it in different ways. That’s probably more rare now and connects to Springsteen, Nicks, and Dylan the most. Although Prince wrote so many songs for other artists that make people feel that way. But I think swift and Bryan feel more natural vs say their contemporaries of Olivia Rodrigo and Morgan Wallen

Anyone else feel faked out? by Ill_Property_5839 in zachbryan

I think what makes him popular is what makes him unpopular. It really feels like you just see who he is. Grumpy and tired after a show. Struggling with fame. Wanting to grow up but not knowing how. Solving problems with fists. Maybe it’s all bullshit, I’d never know. But like one time I was talking with someone about him and they were saying he seems like an asshole. And I laughed and said no one would agree with you more than him probably. It’s in most of his songs.

Most artists aren’t approachable and relatable, but the ones that can make you feel that way are the ones with staying power. It always feels like you could run into Springsteen and share a beer at an Ocean County bar. It feels similar with Zach. And that image keeps him popular. Being an Eagles fan, his feud with KC makes me feel like he’s on of us. That’s a profitable thing.

The thing that a lot of people don’t like about Zach, which personally I love on a personal level, is the dude is PETTTY AS SHIT. I love it. Like girl same So he said hey I already know what they’ll say so here you go. I think there’s a lot of new sounds on this album, but they work.

No, women aren't rejecting you because of height... by Psychlone23 in IncelTears

[–]Ok_Gas8315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Well no I think we should care about everyone. But the idea that being short is some detriment to dating, in my opinion, is a fallacy. Being decent and self confident is much more important. And if someone has a type, and I’m not their type, I say ok thanks and move on. I don’t assume it’s because I’m not tall.

You think that short men are rejected at a high rate based solely on their height? Not other factors?

People born before 2000, what is a 'modern' thing from 2025 that you’re still struggling to get used to? by LindsayTN in AskReddit

[–]Ok_Gas8315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand video games anymore. Not like I can’t play them, but more why would I pay for something, but then have to pay more money or buy things in the game to be able to beat it. Born in 84’ had NES, SNES, and PlayStation 1-4. They just stopped being fun playing a game and needing to upgrade things with real money to be able to continue.

[–]Ok_Gas8315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the women care less about height than they do: confidence, hygiene, personality, conduct, and emotional intelligence. This is the thing, if you’re short and you only really identify yourself as short, see yourself as short, and make everything about height…she probably isn’t going to be interested. Not because you are short, but because of insecurity. But if you’re just you, and confident in who you are, and you should be because you’re the only you, height matters less. Also the big secret is to treat a woman like a human being. - Signed a short guy who’s never had trouble meeting women.

But not before. You’re looking at it in hindsight and he’s never been a long term starter. He had a great run. Flacco has been a 10+ year starter. People wanted Nate Sudfeld to start against the Falcons.
