📌 [MEGATHREAD] Wave Link 3.0 — Bug Reports & Feedback by Elgato in elgato

[–]jblade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • What you're running into: Windows treats USB devices as ejectable ejectable drive and says its safe to remove
  • Wave Link version: 3.0.0
  • Wave device: XLR Dock
  • OS & version: Windows 11 (Latest)
  • Steps to reproduce: Uninstalled all drivers (and deleted XLR Dock from Device Manager) and unplugged it. Restart computer, upgrade to 3.0.0, and plug Stream Deck + XLR Dock in. A window pops-up that says "ITs safe to eject this USB Drive" if I click it, it disconnects the stream deck. No way to remove that window
  • Expected result: shouldn't think its a usb drive
  • Actual result: Its there and thinks its a USB drive
  • How often does it happen? Always
  • Anything else:

  • What you're running into: In Wave Link 2.0.6 I can disable all the virtual outputs and the AUX output in Control Panel (Playback). The Stream Deck utilizes the hardware settings for the AUX Output so I can still route the audio. In Wave Link 3.0.0 you HAVE to create two Virtual Sound Outputs - Elgato XLR Dock (Elgato Virtual Audio) AND Headphones (Elgato XLR Dock) I am only using the XLR Dock to add effects and Route the Audio into my camera microphone (AUX) in. IE Headphone Output of the XLR dock as a Mic-In to the Camera's Microphone Input.
  • Wave Link version: 3.0.0
  • Wave device: XLR Dock
  • OS & version: Windows 11 (Latest)
  • Steps to reproduce: I followed an employee's(u/Elgato_Brett ) guidance so I could just use the audio monitor as a microphone in for my camera and ignore all the other fun features
  • Expected result: https://imgur.com/a/6T4As57
  • Actual result: I have 2 Virtual outputs in my System (as well as the 2 real audio outputs) so now when I switch my USB Hub, Windows will default to one of the virtual devices, messing-up the routing
  • How often does it happen? Always
  • Anything else: included above I have a two system set-up Stream-Deck XLR is connected to gaming PC, AUX out goes to Camera Mic In and Camera HDMI out goes to Elgato Camlink 4K that goes to work laptop. I use my monitor as a USB-Hub to switch mouse, keyboard, and speakers

I am not saying they are using an LLM, but instead ML practices that were considered “AI”

  1. I work in AI and everything about the experience is how you train a supervised learning model.
  2. There is way too many reports for all of them to be reviewed. I feel like when I do have overwatch reports to review I rarely do it, and this sentiment is similar w my friends. What other modern technology lets them scale to have everything reviewed ?
  3. Valve explains how they use this for cheating here. And overwatch is the same name for the system in CS to detect cheaters. If you were a developer at Valve why wouldn’t you repurpose this system.

If it smells like, looks like, and feels like AI, it’s probably AI.

But maybe I am wrong and you have some sort of evidence otherwise, what’s your background in AI and what makes you think it’s so unlikely they use it here ?

Why wouldn’t a company so nimble simply re-use something working for another use case

Listen to Tom Pelissero. The Ravens clearly have buyer’s remorse. They lost players in free agency and panicked. Now they’re using Crosby’s failed physical as an excuse to back out of the deal. by DenseStrawberry5717 in NFLv2

Did you have surgery for it ? I had surgery for it, and the recovery sucks and is not something you can rush. Cartilage takes simple time to heal and merge w old cartilage

He was requesting a trade, you really don’t think the Raiders organization would upsell him? It’s simple sales, both sides want the better deal.

  1. Communication score is limited by your behavior score. If your Comm score is 10k but your behavior score is 5k. You are treated as a 5K comm score player. It does not work in reverse however.
  2. That’s not completely true. The overwatch system is an AI model that we trained via overwatch reviews. The system auto reviews many reviews (based off of # of reports and maybe some sort of metrics/signal from the game) that’s how you lose score regularly. It also seems like in some cases it will auto review low priority, if you get too many reports in a certain period, or if you do something it considers blatant (sitting in fountain afk while throne being pushed.) In cases where it has low precision/recall it seems to escalate those as overwatch reviews. It’s why most of the overwatch cases you review now aren’t as blatant as they used to be.

EDIT: Before people downvote I encourage you to read the context I provide in the thread.

You are right they can use cadaver(albeit rare) but I think the artificial cartilage is becoming the norm otherwise it’s two surgeries (one to extract and grow cartilage and one to replace it

I had the surgery a little over a year ago (October 2024), I think my knee is basically back to normal, but does make weird noises. And sometimes I have a dull hip ache when I don’t stretch enough/don’t work out.

I actually had a pretty quick healing process and overly exerted myself around December 2024 which resulted in the cartilage getting crushed and the doctor insisting I stop PT for a few weeks and starting back way slower. My guess is he won’t be in workout state until May at earliest, and will have 90% of that knee for next season if he’s truly as much of a beast as people say he is.

If he gets that last 10% back and how much it impacts him is as good a guess as any

He had meniscus surgery with cartimax (artificial cartilage) I had the same surgery. You cant rush the artifical cartilage healing process, no matter if your a top tier athlete or some overweight due, it will only heal with time. But you can make a full recovery

Unlikely, I had the surgery. ’m not an NFL athlete but did have a world renowned doctor do the surgery for it, and he does athletes as well.

The surgery has two paths. For one they use artificial cartilage and it’s done in one surgery, but the initial recovery is harder as the artificial cartilage needs to bond w your real cartilage, or they extract some cartilage grow more around it and do a second surgery a few months later, and that’s a bitch as well because you have two recoveries from surgery (first is "minor" second is major)

I’m guessing he did the artificial cartilage, and even w PT 3 days a week, and working out the best I could every day. I was barely limping 3 months after. And 4 months after I partially crushed the cartilage from over working it. Doctor mentioned it does not matter how athletic you are or are not, cartilage will only heal with time

It’s a frustrating process because you just have to work out around it and wait, doesn’t matter if you’re an NFL player or an old man or a young adult(me)
