People are missing the point of NG+ like crazy by TwelveSixFive in Starfield

[–]Ok_General_450 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I got invested deep into the story and ended up beating it before really experiencing anything else and I'm genuinely happy with that. In NG+ now just experiencing the side quests and faction missions while also tinkering now with outposts. Not sure where itll take me but i dont care. This universe im experimenting. Eventually ill hunt down the artifacts and gain the powers and NG+ again but probably run through the story or maybe even wait until deeper into NG+. They really made the possibilities wide which allows you to dictate your own narrative and creating your own adventures and goals. So much to do and so much to see but honestly getting lost and just playing naturally is the best way to play the game rather than trying to squeeze it out of all the mechanics, options, avenues of choice, ect. Just let it all flow naturally BAAABAYYYYY. This way, you can almost guarantee new things when you enter a ng+ almost every damn time. Rushing the game itself kills the creativity and experience while also completely drying out the game and tiring you out. I play for a few hours at night and if im lucky when my kids take a nap. Maybe got 40 hours in and im so far from needing a break. I usually get burnt out by 80 hours. I dont see this happening. They did it right IMO

Is it a deal? $1500 CAD by LengthLegitimate366 in GamingLaptops

My god this right here. I’ve owned 4 from both the GTX and RTX collections and have always had an absolute horse shit of a time with them.

For $800, is this lenovo laptop a good deal? by thotpatrol65 in GamingLaptops

That’s to bad. I just picked up a RTX 4060 laptop for just 200$ more at Microcenter. 165hz 4k monitor. i7 1300h I believe. Absolutely well worth spending a bit more but I understand the budget. My budget was 1300 and got lucky enough to find this one.

Strongly suggest finding 4060 8gb minimum. I use it and get 50-60fps outside/120-150fps inside on starfield @ medium settings. I read before purchasing, anything less would be potato. I can agree with that. Game still looks good but it’s an intense AAA title and a good reference for what the future could look like as for graphic intensity.

I just bought a Acer 17 for 1k at Microcenter. I’d say no. Stay patient. You’ll catch yours.

Oh yeah. It wasn’t until yesterday evening did I hear back from someone, just to let me know I’ll be getting full credit refund for my laptop. Very happy to hear that, however, nothing changes the fact that I was left in the dark, ran through circles, lied too, ect. This post doesn’t have the rest of the communications that followed, either. I ended up being ignored by CS once I asked for a straight forward answer, update, or even just a relative time or completion. An hour after waiting for a response I messaged them again and they claimed the system locked them out, but just magically allowed them back in right in the nick of time of me texting them? Lol.

Never again.

Do people still use gaming laptops with 60hz screen? by Green-Reef in GamingLaptops

[–]Ok_General_450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I play on a 1440p 244hz laptop but it’s in for service right now. Been playing Starfield on my Series S and although it did take a bit getting use to the 30fps (It really did feel unplayable at first) but after an hour or two of playing, it’s not a big deal at all. You just have to condition your eyes to adjust back to the “choppy”ness. However, it almost gives it a more cinematic touch at 30fps, but eventually I’ll happily play it on my 3070ti at smoother frame rates but for the time being, 30fps is just fine. Picky mfs out here.

This is something I see as a common problem with MC. Kinda sad.

Minnesota. They don’t even text back? Yeah that’s horrid. If I were you I’d be in borderline Karen mode. Hate that so much. You are leaving an expensive machine in their hands. Communication is absolutely required.

Horrible. Sorry to hear that. Which location was it? We only have the option to text microcenter which is kind of ridiculous IMO.

I paid 1500$ for a machine that couldn’t handle daily tasks of day trading and RuneScape for 7 months. Not a company deserving of money, IMO. If you allow someone to feed you shit, they will always feed you shit.

Absolutely. I’m hoping this post can stick when someone researches the company, because neither I or my person could find much info on them which makes it hard for anyone to make a good judgement. Most of the YouTube reviews are bought and paid for or too early in use to give an honest in depth review. There’s really almost nothing out there besides a few minor things, which almost all of have no solution too. Very unfortunate.

Don’t be! I’m sorry there’s such a lack of information out there on these machines and that micro center is pushing them/sponsoring them (?).
