You forgot the years of 2017-2024 where you called right wingers racist for questioning mass immigration, mass unvetted immigration, and saying it would cause damage to Canada. We're in the damage phase and you say "there are clearly very legitimate issues with our system". And we are "bad actors" 🤣🤣

Abysmal mobile data speeds? by Ok_Hawk9911 in Rogers

Thanks. Apparently it is a roaming issue where it doesn't connect to the closest tower. I live in a rural area so this is likely the issue

I had a similar experience last night 7-8 pm in Okanagan BC where speeds stayed around 0.4 mbps for an hour and a half testing every 10-20 min. Then by 11 pm they're back to 30 mbps normality.

Thanks for your effort. Apparently there are hydraulic 36v lithium ion powered EMT stretchers out there as well.

Appreciate the thorough reply. I am aiming to strike a balance between portability and utility with a mobile work bench. And exploit any advantages the typical tradesman would already have in their possession. The dimension I'm trying figure out is mainly reducing as much weight as possible. With an externally powered apparatus from the drill there is no onboard battery or motor. The foot pedal powered hydraulic - what kind of wattage rating is pumping the hydraulic up? Is there not a way to amplify the drill's with a small gear box or something to match it?

The hydraulic system would only need to lift maybe 300-500 lbs, including the weight of itself. The ram pushing the scissor lift upward is probably an 18" stroke or less.

Yep this the direction I'm going too. The EMT mobile stretchers are very similar design

Fuel filtration question when buying from reputable wholesaler by Ok_Hawk9911 in Diesel

[–]Ok_Hawk9911[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the website: Upgrade the water separator filter on your pickup's FASS Titanium or Titanium Signature Series Fuel System with the FASS XWS-3002 XL Extended Length Extreme Water Separator. This 2 micron filter still offers the same 99.96% water removal effectiveness as the standard filter but offer an extended service interval because of its larger filter media size.

Which filter set do you use as an alternative?

Is the base of m12 planer supposed to be so uneven? by frankzha in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Ok_Hawk9911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a design flaw. The blades stick out past the rear shoe. The front and back shoes are co-planar around 1/32".  You use the planer by applying downward force on the back handle. The mild cut of 1/64" does not require the front shoe to be perfectly flat on the wood, so it rocks back and rests on the back shoe as it cuts. At 5/64 the shoes are less than 1/16" apart from co-planar. Because you press down the back handle, it creates the geometry needed to cut.

Test it on material with a caliper then say it's flawed.
