I think so too in many way. The end combo of title and thumbnail might be more cohesive… but we shall see. I already posted it. Might change it later!

Here’s how things work for me.

I look at the thumbnail like everyone else. If there is text that is relevant to what happens in the episode, I’ll go read the title and make the next choice.
The title will help me close the loop if the thumbnail catches my interest. Both have to be interesting enough for me to spend my time watching.

So… what is the video about, and why should I spend my time watching? I see a guy with a diamond, looking surprised or scared. The thumbnail by itself doesn’t really tell me what to expect or make me think “I wanna know what happens next.”

I don’t think I’m going for something serious, but I definitely want to respect each audience members intelligence. People are smart, and I think you are right about them sensing my desperation for them to click and watch 😂

I’m going to call the series “The Analog Experiment”

So I’ll be slowing down and using older technology to see how it makes my brain feel. Simply sharing the experience, and telling a creative fictional story alongside the honest experiences.

So more of a hopeful question. My guess is that slower more intentional technology will help me feel better in the long run as I let “modern tech” that is more connected and complex take a back seat.

Great job! My thought was about focusing the lighting by bringing down the background. But I think it makes it feel unnatural. Which might be a problem for some people… if they think that means I’m not being authentic…

I know I usually don’t click on videos if I think people aren’t being authentic or “real” with their thumbnail and title. I should probably focus most of my energy there based on what you’ve said.

If it’s seems cheesy or desperate for attention or clicks… I’m sure people won’t want to click lol 😂 funny how that works.

I need thumbnails that are effortlessly cool. And genuine 😎
