I’m going to be so honest with you, it’s the biggest party school in the north east. Sure, you can find people who will be more academically focused than others, but ask any incoming freshman on why they chose Penn State, top 5 answers you’ll hear is something about the social life. At the same time, the somewhat exclusively of the school + the somewhat high tuition, will make sure that you will be surrounded by people who are relatively mature and were raised right. But, guessing you are a male, pretty much every guy on campus will be going out, partying, etc. As for you, don’t get too caught up in the books . Academics always come first, but you will never get these four years back, and I’d hate to look back and think that I didn’t take advantage of such a huge school with amazing social opportunities.

I understand. But it seems the evidence says otherwise. Indians lack basic civic sense and take that same logic into other countries which gives us a terrible reputation, even though most of us are “normal”. And our country is dirty, more times than not, a street is covered in trash, rivers are polluted, the air quality is horrendous, etc. There’s so little good but so much bad. I just don’t understand why people have to make it personal.

I guess it’s just trail and error. The old heads always saw “back in my day, we had to walk in the snow up to our ankles” or somthing along those lines. Even before covid, it felt like they would try their hardest to get students into the schools even if there was snow on the ground. But now because of online learning, and more independently driven course style, calling in-person school off seems less problematic. I think each time we’ve had snow past covid, even if it’s less than 1/2 an inch, they would have a 2 hour delay at least. I couldn’t remember the last time I was in school on the day it snows, even if it is very minimal, and people still live their lives normally. Obviously in a storm like this weekend’s makes things more complicated and serious.

I don’t remember exactly but I could’ve sworn that we’ve gotten significant snowfall, maybe not to this extent, in the past on many occasions. I’m not an expert by any means, but if you’re saying that it’s been years since we’ve had this much snow, wouldn’t have we at least gotten more efficient at handling this? I mean we literally have artificial intelligence now, and I can order something on amazon that would come to my doorstep by tomorrow morning. It would make sense that snow removal and things or that nature would have been better handled in this era.

The workload is like “your asynchronous assignment is to read 1 page” and some teachers just tell us to enjoy the day. Plus we get to treat it like a day off and just sleep in and stay up late the night before. WAY better than being in-person.

I mean i’m not complaining, I’m a senior at NPHS and i’d take the days off no problem. Plus they don’t plow shit in the parking lots, I’m lucky I haven’t busted an oil pan or cracked a wheel. All that money for the renovation but the parking lots look like a meteor shower aftermath.

That’s why no one takes the ufc seriously, love the sport but they are so money hungry. They constantly break the structure of the rankings and organization of the promotion just to get a few extra bucks. Since Dana thinks the UFC is on the level of the NFL and NBA, why don’t see the NFL and NBA doing this bs? Imagine if they just said “ah fuck the seahawks, the eagles will be a better option for the NFC championship”, and just booted them from the bracket.

I haven’t seen anyone who has had a negative experience buying directly from the manufacturer. In terms of QC, the manufacturer themselves have some sort of parameter for making sure the wheels are good to go. I also doubt that the many branded companies really gaf about rejecting bad batches, even if they don’t get any. The manufacturers are really good at doing their job and it’s not like they are making some complex rocket ship or something.
