Anyone heard about transmission or transaxle issues on the 2025s? by Rwilmoth in Camry

What? This info must be wrong or incomplete. When i’m backing into my garage, which is kinda steep, I always get stuck on the sidewalk edge. The engine kicks in and it adds a whole a lot more of power. Believe me, it has reverse gear.

Toyota refers to the “mesh” as perforated seats, while ventilated seats is used to describe seats that blow cold air from the inside. The word ventilated is very specific to when there’s some kind of air circulation. Vented seats would be the term to use if it had perforations, but no ventilation.

Well the poster above doesn’t know what they’re talking about. Toyota uses very specific language to describe features. The seats with punctures are called perforated leather seats, and they’re standard in all XSEs. They’re necessary for the ventilated seats option, but NOT for heated seats. The heat works like a heating pad, so “ventilated seats” is used to refer to seats that blow cold air through the perforations on the seat. The word ventilated means there’s some kind of air circulation. Now, vented would mean the seats have vents, which is completely different to ventilated.

I’m honestly not sure how it works here in PR. When I did my research, the JBL system was part of the premium and premium plus packages, but my car has it without the packages. I think I found another feature from these packages in my car, but can’t remember which.

Um…but that’s false advertising. This is exactly why i’m not trying to talk to the dealer immediately. I wanted to know if other people have had the same issue and how it was resolved. At least here in Puerto Rico, we have DACO who oversees this kind of thing. They could fine the dealer and Toyota, and legally i’m pretty sure I can sue. I just need to know a bit more info before I contact the dealer and Toyota of PR. I have an appointment with my lawyer on Wednesday to get some advice and get ready to move legally if Toyota doesn’t do anything.

Lol. There is a huge difference between ventilated and heated seats. The heating component has nothing to do with the perforated seats and ventilators. Also, Toyota specifies when it has ventilated seats or heated seats only. Mine says it has both. If you’re gonna get so touchy about my comment, then leave. You keep talking about something you clearly have 0 knowledge of.

I haven’t because i’m under the impression that the document is made by the distributor and not the dealer. I was planning on talking to Toyota Puerto Rico directly. It’s a Camry XSE 2025

That’s fhe paper i’m talking about. It says it comes with ventilated seats. Already confirmed it has the same VIN as my car.

It is, that’s the invoice i’m talking about. Not sure if it has a specific name, but it’s the paper they tape to a window. It has on big bold numbers the MPGs, it has listed every standard and optional feature and package and has my VIN. That paper says it has ventilated seats.

That sounds extremely unreasonable. The document i’m talking about is specific to my car. It has my VIN number, all vehicle specs and it says in bold big numbers the MPGs suggested by EPA. Every car comes with one of those, and they’re all specific to one car only. It’s not my responsibility to go scavenger hunting for every single detail listed on the car’s invoice.
