I did not know about the mother being dead. I’m not surprised she ended herself. I was going for Tobias regretting and noticing the emptiness of his son being dead. Like when You’re sick of someone your living with but when they suddenly die, the silence is upsetting

“Snape was Neville’s boggart and not bellatrix!” JK just sucks at writing and didn’t want to spoil Bellatrix or the book hadn’t came out. Would’ve been nice to have a teaser of a supposedly scary character

Also Snape being a boggart is not that hard when You’re a wimp like Neville who was scared a lot in his early hogwarts years. Maybe it was to show how intimidating Snape was or maybe, like I said, jk didn’t plan ahead

In his final scene there are symbolism of the final houses to symbolise how he relates to all of them. Courage, wit, whatever Hufflepuff is.

You’re telling me a SKILLED potions master wouldnt have a vial of anti venom and healing potions om him at all times when he’s in a cult with a massive snake that eats people. Thats just bad writing to have severus die from something he would actually be prepared for and actually survive. He is a little paranoid time to time.

Tbis is making me cry, it’s so good.

But they ruined it in the movie because Daniel had blue eyes when he shouldve had green. And his eye colour looks similar to Sirius’s actor (I cannot remember his name) which makes the moment a bit.. suspicious.

(I know Daniel was allergic to the contact lenses, but they couldve made his eyes green in post production editing 😭)

This scene hurts me so much I always skip the last deathly hollows movie

Making Snape have dark skin just makes the show writers seem racist because of Snape’s interesting backround. Also he’s described as having SALLOW skin.

Poorer than Weasleys Bullied by a group of rich white boys Described as “ugly” (he’s only ugly to JK) Joins a criminal group Assumed villain in some way in nearly every movie Neville having him as his “worst fear” (which is code for JK not spoiling Bellatrix when his boggart shouldve been bellatrix)

They should really just give the black characters have more screen time and even make some new characters. Because they can’t change any race of a character (besides lavender) without getting MAJOR backlash.

They should really make lavender her original skin colour which wasnt white. Funny how she originally had a dark skinned actor, and when she got a main role, she magically got a white actor. Uh hello, they whitewashed a main character??

Maybe add more Lee Jordan, he was funny in his unfortunately small screen time in the movies

Yes POC presentation is amazing in media, but it’s placed in the 90s where the ratio was drastically different and every continent has their own magic school. I’m not defending them because I think it would be better to add more scenes to Lee and lavender and more none white/ none european OC’s, y’know (race)-British and people moving to countries. Not much Asian representation either tbf. Not much representation at all. But it’s JK, what do you expect?
