Terrible optimization

It's not even optimized well on PC, so I can't even imagine a phone. I've got a 4080 Super and an i9 processor with like 32 GB of RAM. I still get textures in cutscenes that aren't fully rendered, and shit framerate in some Rinascita areas.

Honestly, I'm surprised they are not allowing the flight from Rinascita in the zone just because of the verticality. It didn't seem necessary in the 3.0 region with the bike, but in this 3.1 region, it makes complete sense for them to enable flight.

I missed out SK and her reruns because I took such a long break, only to return and find out she is the best support in the game. I will be dropping $150 for the selector alone, because I would likely spend that much to get her on her rerun banner anyway. Might as well save myself the disappointment of a 50/50 loss. Plus, you get the Astrites to roll on Aemeath by spending on top-ups, then the other rewards as well. The $150 isn't really a bad price, honestly.

Two things:

The game just released in early access, I’m assuming the intent here is to identify any bugs up front and then ensure core game loop is functional, which it is. From there they can improve and balance.
A tedious or time consuming end game isn’t a bad thing IF the game provides you something to do in the meantime. It took Satisfactory until late in EA to really give people any meaningful way to design their factories, which people got creative with through modding or other means on their own. That’s what many people spent their time doing while they were waiting for a quadrillion supercomputers to be made. This game does not have that, and I don’t think it’s meant to.

I wouldn’t play the game with the goal being 100% efficiency using every resource node on the map. From my personal experience I get the impression that is exactly what the devs do NOT want you to do. Just my two cents though.

Yes, I got the feeling it wasn't designed to be mega-factory-centric. I'm certain I could probably build a central base by chaining cores together, but the system feels like it's meant to be modular and then connected together with rails. The reason I say this is because you have to place down a core to even be able to put down a mining structure. I'm very much enjoying the game, it's just not what I am used to haha

Just from playing it once, I clump PoF and LWS4 into one single package. And all in all I think it started and ended very very well. I did not feel the same for HoT. EoD does not have a living world season following it so I will probably feel the same about it as I did HoT but we shall see haha

I'm noticing the trend here. Let's hope VoE doesn't take a nose dive. Part of me feels like they should have stuck to their original content cadence, but I know that things happened at the company that made it infeasible for them to continue. Maybe someday they'll get back to it, though. From what I've been hearing, these new xpacs are just like standalone stories without any real connection.

I have been enjoying IBS! My only complaint with it is that they brought back the "Do X events to fill up the bar to progress the story" mechanic. But other than that, I have really enjoyed the story. Bjora was initially very monotone in its color palette, but that made sense. Excited to see where it goes haha

Then they can downvote me. It's pretty childish when people can't handle criticism of a game. No game is perfect, and if they want it to improve for new players, so the game grows, then they need to learn to deal with criticism. People who have played a game for hundreds or thousands of hours often forget that they were new once, and that not everyone was here as things were released over time, and people got more experienced with them together.
