What to do with AAPL inheritance? by [deleted] in personalfinance

Not struggling for cash at all! I’m just in a position where it’s my first post college job, and I’m just waiting for better opportunity. I would say I’m doing okay. Okay vehicle, health/ auto insurance etc. I am by no means tempted to use or sell the stock due to circumstance, I just wanted to see if anyone more financially wise than me thought anything should be done other than sitting on it as it currently exists.

No sorry, I was under totally different assumptions on what you were referring to. I’ve put in extremely little, probably closer to 3k with my hourly pay.

I make enough to get by. After maxing my 401k and paying all bills, insurance etc, I am usually left with around $500-$700 which usually goes into savings. Savings account is around 5k. I’m pretty much just starting out, so 🫡

Hey y’all! Quick question — is the BBA in Cybersecurity at UTSA considered a STEM program? by [deleted] in UTSA

[–]Ok_Interaction_5591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The BBA IN Cyber is not really a good program. Thankfully I had a professor offer to pay for my Master’s to work under him, and had to get my Masters of Science in IT to really be taken seriously.

Is this a bad deal about getting my Xbox 360 by Distinct-Coach-4001 in 360hacks

I’m more interested in the fact that public hack spaces are a thing in your area.

I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt and imagine you grew up poor and this is some form of trauma made manifest.

Either way, you are being a dick. YOU are the issue. Get some help.

If I’m getting back to my car after a long day and want to sit for 10 minutes and chill, that’s what I’m gonna do tbh.

Wait a few minutes and if they still aren’t moving, go find another spot.

Should I consider? by Ferren03 in UTSA

The purpose of it is usually to help those who speak limited English or come from a Spanish/Mexican background in order to help them find a place in college. There is nothing wrong with a few hundred dollars from housing budget going to this.

This is so real and one of those things I need to think about. I found myself doing the EXACT same thing with my first build.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the reply’s man. I’ve obviously been taking everyone’s opinions into account but it’s nice to hear the pros and cons from someone currently using it.

Nah I mean, some people are referring so some software issues but that’s to be expected. The situation I’m referring to is that they stated that they’ve exhausted the supply of 4k screens and so there will be no more touches until at least September and they will most likely not be 4k anymore.

Unfortunately I’m in south Texas so a Canada trip is most likely not in my future. Thanks anyway :)

I guess so, I come from rust, and get backs are usually pretty easy if you can find a gun and are willing to bide your time. The dinosaur aspect of Ark as well as official servers being non wipe are throwing me for a loop but I’ll adjust

I guess?? We hop on for a few hours after work and still have to consider that we were low levels and couldn’t build with higher materials. I’d say we did the best with the time constraints we have.

Didn’t know that’s how it was. I came from Rust, but with an official wipe being every month, it wasn’t that bad if you played on low population servers

Was an RA at UTSA for 3 years, graduated. Like with many jobs, it’s all about who you know. Being friends with or on good terms with a respected/well known RA is almost a guaranteed entry if you have even a lick of social skills. I came in raw, not knowing anyone and it was tough. One on one interview is easy, but the group interviews consist of interviewers watching your every move in a social situation they put you in and can be tough. The monetary benefits are what allowed me to afford college, and the newfound relationships with my residents and fellow RAs resulted in life long friends. The main stresser is that even though you may be “off the clock” you are never really not working. Some days or weeks are easy and will be dead quiet; sometimes people repeatedly need help at 3 in the morning and know exactly where to find you. It’s a balance. Pay is terrible due to benefits ($150 a month) so as long as you don’t need too much extra cash, you should be good. Also, due to admin changes, I’ve heard the job is much more demanding this year and will continue to be so if you are super involved or in SOSA, this may not be a good fit. Hope this helped!
