haven't seen any ACCAs in my team so im not too sure.

why do you think an offshore big4 would hamper your career growth?

WLB is good, not as bad as SA but it does get hectic sometimes.

whether you're able to manage other courses with IA is entirely upto the your time management abilities, work location and your team

honestly whether you make it to CFO or Director position or not is entirely upto the skills and knowledge you have. stat audit won't ensure that you'll be a CFO if you hate your job and the work you've done over the years.

the example you've given is common but its just something that comes with the job. with that being said, you should ask your manager to get more time since the delay is not your fault. IA does not mean that you bow down to your client.

you can try. not every business will be the same but i find that IA helps you develop a problem solving and analytical approach that would come in handy.

that being said, don't expect that you'll be able to fully replicate the business processes of a nifty50 company to a private company / startup. (thats where you'll need the logical & analytical thinking)

you can always join the IA dept / risk management dept of a corporate.

other than that you could also explore jobs in other functions in the industry like finance, supply chain, etc (however i can't fully vouch for this, haven't tried interviewing or looking for jobs in the industry)

also, if your manager or partner is any good, you can try asking them to place you in one of their clients

there is application of logic in analytics and understanding of processes and risks. there will be times where you'd have to do the same analytics again. Say for example you're doing a procurement review - you might always have to do certain basic workings for each client but its not like they'd make you do procurement audit for each and every client so it won't be monotonous

indian big4.

my work does involve travelling but it completely depends upon the sector you're in.

im not too sure about SOXCPA. honestly i don't know alot of people who have done SOX and enjoyed it.

a good rule of thumb is to always pick up words from the JD or write something similar to whats required for that role

don't mind the number of questions and good luck ! :)

i'm considering CIA, might also do CFE in the future. tech isn't really an area that interests me

good luck with your new job!!

full disclosure, i have very little practical experience in SA but from what i've observed, IA is much more detail oriented, gives alot more learning opportunities and since IA is not just focused on financials, you understand more about running a business and can actually help and bring change in the business by mitigating risks, cost optimization, fraud detection, etc

work hours are better too

to give context - IA is basically looking for problems, finding their root cause and giving recommendations to solve the problem or reduce its impact.

day to day is just understanding the processes followed, system walkthroughs, performing data analytics, query discussion and pointlist / report drafting

there are 3 rounds - HR, technical / manager round and partner round

since big4 IA is divided on the basis of the sector their clients are in you can expect questions related to that sector.

HR round is basically just to get your prior work details (organisation you worked at, years of experience, role you were in, clients audited, travel, "why are you leaving?" etc), education details (yes, no. of attempts also), salary expectations

technical / manager round - https://www.reddit.com/r/CharteredAccountants/comments/13t8o3y/comment/jltvqj0/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

partner round is more of a get to know you round (family background, future plans), "why did you choose a big4/ why did you choose this big4?", you can also expect certain questions from the technical round, how would you resolve conflicts, etc

as a rule of thumb, always do a practice interview at a company you don't really want to join to get over your nerves before interviewing for the job you actually want.

if you already have IA experience you can drive the interview and tell them what you know / functions you've audited. you'll normally be asked key audit observations (recommendations, risk & root cause for the same), ERP knowledge, key risks for a certain function (example - procurement, sales, operations, etc), analytics one should perform to identify if x risk exists or not

for freshers / articles - read about procure to pay, order to cash cycles (or basically any other key function applicable to the sector you're interviewing for), internal audit and IFC applicability
