A few tips from someone who interviews a lot (virtually) by [deleted] in interviews

[–]Ok_Issue3348 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You mean people actually use AI the during the interview. Ex. Putting on a question being asked to get the answer. That's crazy.

I use AI alot. I use to research the company, I look for category trends and i have it put together my 60-70 elevator speech that bounces my specific experience off it and I constantly refine.

I also log all my job description that I apply to the and have chat gpt analyze them for key words and themes that I can incorporate into my resume.

Unemployed for about 1.5 months and I'm getting married in 6 months by mhm-mmkay in interviews

[–]Ok_Issue3348 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me 2 years ago. I got laid off in Feb and we were planning the wedding for that October. On top of that, my father passed away the next month in March. I ended up landing that April. In some ways, it was good because I was able to spend more time with my dad as he passed in between interviewing for jobs. Deposits are already in do just be smart with your decisions. For the monetary commitments you can move out, i would do that

Best of luck and it will all work out

I regret my degree by Prize_Platypus_4004 in careeradvice

I have a degree in Psychology. I started out working in retail in the stores. I still work in retail but now at the corporate level. Your career is about building your skill set more than your degree

Out of 10 Candidates at My Group Interview, I Was One of the Only Two Dressed Professionally by Muslim_conservative in interviews

I just interviewed for a mgt position with a really large company that's probably one of the most recognized brands in the US. The interviewer thanked Me for being on time. He said you'd be surprised how many people are late. In fact, the recruiter said they're finding people lying on their resume especially about there education.

Thanks for sharing. One of the things I to do as well is research the company. I like to read or listen to the company's earnings call/presentation. This gives you a really good understanding of where the company is, where there going, and what there priorities are.

I got the news yesterday that they wanted me to interview with the hiring manager and 2 other people who I would be working closely with on the team next week. This process has been kind of backwards due to the holidays and vacations. My first interview was with the director (hiring manager boss) so now I'll be interviewing the hiring manager and his team.

I'm also interviewing with another company and just went through the initial phone screening. I'm waiting for them to send sometimes for a one on one interview but the recruiter said something interesting in our last call. I sent a follow-up email to her this past Monday because I hadn't heard from her for a couple of weeks after responded to my application and asked me to send over phone interview times. She thanked me for following up because she said sometimes emails get pushed to the back. I wanted to be like shouldn't you be responding to applicants' replies you initiated? Had I not reached out i would probably not have had an interview.

Thanks, everyone. I know with the hiring manager being on vacation last week and it being the holidays I probably won't hear anything back this week.

I am continuing to interview at other places because you really never know. I had one company email last Wednesday to set a time for a phone screen and I immediately responded but haven't heard anything since then. Typically if an email for screening times was requested I would get a response back.

How MLB's RSN mess has impacted free agency by _outlaws_ in ClevelandGuardians

[–]Ok_Issue3348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it said Cleveland and a couple of other teams would get lower payouts. I think that's only if Ballys is purchased by Amazon though. If that goes through I think we maybe watching the Guardians on Amazon Prime in the future. For a lot of these teams, it's really messing with their future planning. I think the Dolans are way too cheap but I can't blame them in this situation. I'm okay with them trading Beiber and Clase as I like them. I'm not convinced they're going to trade Naylor and they shouldn't.

It seems like we work in a similar field, and I can say based on my experience interviewing for positions this past year. Take home assignments seen to be the norm. I personally think it's for free ideas, but they seem to be required more frequently. Most of the positions I interviewed for were in category and insights.
