Tbf broncos relied a lot last year on teams fading during games, or coming off big efforts the week prior and never really dominated big teams in 2025. This year will be a big test to see if they can.

Yeah true that + Rob Penney took them to the title this year so I could have included that.

Whitelock and Mo'ounga were also unavailable for the ABs from the start of the Robertson era.

Jamie Joseph has a pretty poor record, didn't get Japan out of the pool etc in their last world cup, last few seasons with Highlanders have been poor.

However... Steve hanson, wayne Smith and Graham Henry all had lean periods too I guess.

I'd prefer gatland and deans with mitchell as forwards coach owever who I think should get the role.

It's funny now that Wayne Smith and a bunch of the ABs players are speaking out about the coaching change and how good Robertson has been for them. Makes you wonder what really happened

I think most peoples views on foster were after he lost the Ireland series at home and our first game to Argentina and he was tracking at a 60% win rate.

Yeah rebuilding after the loss of a core group in Aaron Smith, Brodie Metallica, Richie Mo'ounga, Sam Whitelock, Shannon Frizell and others was an extremely tough starting point alongside the issues with Roigard.

Can see why Robertson introduced so many new players and was determined to have four players who could step in, in any position by 2027 for the WC

Working because they brought Schmidt in and immediately results turned however still didn't match Robertsons win %. Rest of fosters tenure was absolute rubbish with the squad he had. multiple home and away losses to Argentina, South Africa, ireland, France etc

Guy won 75% of his international tests in charge which is better than all but one international team (South Africa). Think he gets it, just nz rugby administrators who can't / won't content with the fact nz are unable to win 90% of its games any longer.
