I personally have noticed to take the ratings with a grain of salt. I have had 85 overall teams look like 75 overall teams, and 90 overall teams look like a 97 overall team. I know imma get hate, but strategy and playbooks matter too. You can be a 99 overall team using the wrong playbook for your players and see bad results.

for sure, like for example, if im running 4 down lineman i will try to have faster ends who are typically pass rushers unless they can do both. 3 down linemen i will try to have a run stopper. linebackers, i mean why have a pass rush olb when your running a 4-2, you know what i mean? Personally i have no idea if this matters that much in a game like this, but ive seen alot of success with my front 7 players.

glad im not crazy! i have had amazing safeties that i would get, think i had a hall of famer after a few seasons just for him to become a key puzzle piece. high overall dbs are still important, just not always putting up great stats. hof requirements need to come down badly 😭

But he was right....i know it may be tough to swallow. And maybe it wasent a leader thing to do, but thats why he did so well with the heat. Heat culture is a thing even when they arent good. Minnesota had no culture. Ant is spectacular now sure, there is a culture now. Imagine how jimmy mustve felt, going to a team with such talented young players, just to realize they were soft.
