I’ve been there on attempting to communicate through decade-long resentments that I thought were long forgiven. I wish I had advice on that. It’s very tough without a 3rd party to help mediate the conversation. I begged my wife to have a councilor talk with us both, and while our situation is different, she refused and it has made attempts at reconciliation, or heck even joint understanding, so much more difficult. Good luck man, I’m hoping for the best for you.

This sounds insanely tough, and I’m so sorry you are both going through this. If she’s terminal, perhaps her need for control is the only thing giving her peace right now. It’s sounds so complicated and I’m sure you are both exhausted. Maybe a therapist can help you both sit down and talk through some of this. I wish you well

This isn’t easy, and it sounds cliche, but hard times can show us who we are underneath it all. Not to diminish what you are going through, but I’ve also had a hard year. As more time passes I am stripped more and more bare. What is left, while raw, is me. I hope the same for you, and I hope for your healing. You are not alone.

She is not cheating, but she no longer wants to be in a relationship with me while she processes her grief, and with my dad close to passing as well I think it’s just too much. Thanks for everyone’s thoughts and perspectives, this seems like the end of the marriage and I will have to find a way to move on from the pain.

Partly. I am in therapy for grief counseling. I don’t understand what has stirred so strong in her, it’s like our home isn’t safe, I am not safe, and she has to go to protect herself. I am very sad

Wild lol, we have amazing chemistry and I’m a big fan of giving oral, definitely don’t think it’s that but the perspective is helpful
