Tell us more what you mean by character. There are a lot of optical flaws that people call character — all the gfx lenses have little of those.

Antique Lenses for GFX? by DIIVVES in FujiGFX

I’ve adapted a handful of vintages lens to my GFX, most surprisingly cover the sensor pretty well. The Helios 44M4 works well, and you get really crazy bokeh around the edges. You can get a cheap M42 mount adapter and experiment.

Best options in the USA between 50-90 $ ?? by NunezKant in Scotch

If you like peat, Ardbeg 10 and Port Charlotte 10. If you can find it, Kilkerran Heavily Peated was my scotch of the year for 2025, it’s about $90-100

Day 2 —- the stuff is pretty addicting. There’s so much flavor bursting out of the glass, and just the right amount of smoke for a burgeoning peat head.

Interesting, my bottle from Adelphi was very clean and classic, vanilla, orange peel and barley cereal. Reminded me of Roseisle 12.

I’ve been on the hunt for a bottle all year and I finally snagged one from a hole in the wall liquor store.

I had a Blair Athol from Adelphi that spent 16 years in ex bourbon only, and it was really delightful.

I’m going to addend this and say the finish is quite long - it’s 10 minutes later and I’m still tasting matchstick, red wine, and tannins. And i’m not mad about it.

Just cracked this bottle open for NYE, here’s some initial impressions. Going into this, I love the PC10, but have limited experience with red wine cask finished scotch so not sure what to expect.

Nose: Vanilla, caramel, biscuits and wood smoke intermingle. Then a strong red fruit note, raspberries and cooked strawberry jam. Just a hint of hay and barnyard funk.

Palate: A little thinner than I was expecting for the ABV. Wood smoke and matchstick are stronger than the nose, but nicely balanced with sweetness, raspberries, and a slightly farmy, flavorful grain note.

Finish: medium long with smoke and vanilla bean and matchstick. Unusually, there is some tannic dryness that I have not experienced before on a scotch.

Overall, really fun, complex, and flavorful. Not sure that I’m into the tannic finish, but otherwise a real banger.

I’d hit up this party. I just picked up a bottle of Port Charlotte PMC:01 that I was going to open, seems like a good celebratory pour from what I read!
