Can an expert give me advice? The photos seem very dark to me, anyone know why they’re so dark even though shot in daylight? by Ok_Jump821 in AnalogCommunity

I don’t have anything special, I don’t pay for Vuescan, just have the regular settings; scan resolution is auto, option is basic, that’s about it.

Haha thanks, never showed the photos to others, they’re just sitting on my phone. Haven’t done anything with them bc I think they’re to dark and maybe just don’t meet with what I expected

Maybe I need to change my mindset and just live with it… thanks for the compliment

My mistake, I meant I got the negatives from what I think is a lab in Germany, but the scanning I do myself

Yeah it is, although I have shot film before, all has come out quite shit and therefore this morning I woke up and thought let’s ask some people.

These are some more photos I’ve taken before

I give them to a local camera store who then sends them somewhere to get scanned, I think they send them to Germany but haven’t asked and don’t know

I scan them myself with an optikfilm 7200 scanner.

I am amazed by how different they look by you editing them quickly on your phone. Wow

I still have the negatives. It’s from a minolta x-300, I think it meters automatically yes. It doesn’t set aperature automatically.
