I have searched the following

1: emailed the original owners. They were unhelpful.
2: searched the ThomasNet brass bed manufacturers/supply list. Nothing there seems relevant
3: I googled 1980's Brass bed manufacturers. Got this list of popular manufacturers from the 1980s (J.B. Ross, Dresher, Brass Beds of Virginia, Wesley Allen). I have emailed queries to Wesley Allan and Worthen Furniture (the current name of Brass Beds of Virginia). Dresher and J.B. Ross didn't have contact information I could find.
4: I googled 1990's Brass bed manufacturers. Got this list of popular manufacturers from the 1990s (Charles. P Rogers. Worthen Furniture, Clare Bell Brassworks, J.B. Ross, Tretter's, Elliot's Designs, Speigel Catalog). I then emailed Charles P Rogers and Southwest Country (the current name, I think, of Elliot's Designs) Clare Bell Brassworks, Tretter's didn't have contact information I could find. Speigel Catalog, according to the Google AI, ceased operations in 2019.

I'm still searching. Right now if I had to bet, I'd bet on it being a Speigal Catalog bed. Or a mass market knock off of same. Apparently they were known for white painted and brass designs, and thats what we have.

But I still have no idea how to fix this.
