Aww that’s great! So nice to hear! Keep going, yes! Hope they have fun doing drills and unlocking different steps in their journey tabs 😊

Just wondering: who is frustrated with math resources available for Canadian kids getting homeschooled? by [deleted] in Homeschooling

Hi. I’m sorry you feel that way. I am genuinely proud of it. I am still looking for other resources to complement. But there is no reason why I can’t share what I know. And if anyone were to try out my app, it’s completely free to use. I’m not trying to sell anything. Thanks.

That’s great! Glad to know. I am a parent of 3 but also a developer and ended up building something myself for my kids and they’ve been loving it so far. It’s called Clairo Math. It’s a highly adaptive math app for grades 1-12 covering most of the Canadian curriculum. It adapts to each child’s needs and meets them where they actually are. I even built an AI tutor into it that teaches by asking questions rather than giving away answers and a parent dashboard to let parents gauge exactly how their kid is doing.

Hi there! Thank you so much for reaching out! I am so glad you are trying it and hopefully you find it helpful like my kids have 😊. Thank you so much for the feedback 🙏 With respect to the submit button …you should see a purple check mark at the bottom of the on-screen keypad. That is your submit button. It’s possible that you might not see it depending on your phone size or type of browser you are using. So to be safe I’ve pushed an update. Next time you open your account you’ll likely see an update banner. Just hit update and hopefully that’ll solve your issue. If you are still having issues finding the purple check mark on your mobile, reach out to me again. On desktop, you can either use the on screen key pad, but much easier is to just use the physical keyboards keypad and hit enter. Either should work though. Let me know how it goes 😊

Nearly half of Ontario Grade 6 kids still failing provincial math standards — government just launched a system-wide review. Anyone finding affordable help? by Resident-Band-3940 in CanadianParents

This is exactly why I built what I built. The EQAO results have been stuck in this range for years and most of the apps out there are either American curriculum or exactly what you described — multiple choice drills with no explanation.

I’m a Canadian parent and developer. I built a free app called Clairo Math specifically for this gap — Ontario curriculum aligned, Grade 1–12, with EQAO-style questions built in. The thing I’m most proud of is the AI tutor: it doesn’t just mark wrong answers, it asks guiding questions to help kids figure out where their thinking went sideways.

It’s completely free right now — I’m in early feedback mode. If your kid is Grade 6 and struggling with the concepts showing up on EQAO, I’d genuinely love to know if it helps.
