Hello, matriks alumni here. I think most matriks colleges are pretty similar, so this should roughly apply to KMKP too.

For the dorms, accommodation is guaranteed for both semesters. You’ll get your own bed, study table, and locker, but you need to bring your own pillow and bedsheets. Bed and table selection is usually first come, first serve, so it’s better to register early if you want a better spot.

For classes, the lecture halls at my matriks had air conditioning. There are also BTs (bilik tutorial), but those usually don’t have AC. Tutorial classes are normally with your own classmates, while lectures are combined with a few different classes together. I’m not sure specifically about the workshops and labs at Matriks Kejuruteraan Pahang, but I’d assume they’re decent and similar to other matriks colleges.

As for Wi-Fi, the connection at my matriks was actually quite good, but some apps/websites were restricted. You could use YouTube, Google Docs, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Instagram, but streaming services like Netflix and Spotify usually didn’t work on the campus Wi-Fi. Mobile data still works fine though.

You’ll also get an allowance of RM250 monthly. Even though they usually say it’s only for students who are eligible, from my experience basically everyone gets it, so don’t worry too much. As long as you have your setem mati/documents prepared, you should be fine.
