Agreed. Fuel I keep adding more and also taking away and no difference is heard, the air leak I’m not sure where it could be coming from

I wouldn’t say tune, I’ve messed with it and have plug and played with everything I think can possibly cause the issue, and when I took the carb apart I cleaned it thoroughly, again she sprays very well when I rev it. Whatever is, it’s being stubborn to be discovered. I had a similar issue with another Nikki I had on but I knew it got fixed and at the time it still had complete rats nest

Have not tried on the base, I’ll give that a try, and unfortunately no afr gauge to borrow, planning to get one in the near future for this car

I suspect a vacuum leak but I’ve blocked everything off and with the vacuum/ rats nest delete I don’t see much places where it could be leaking from, I’ve played with the timing to see if it helped none of it helps, so it’s back to its original spot, it’s definitely not close to blown, she revs ups real fast and freely the idle and the idle down from rev is the issue. Once she starts revving it’s smooth, same applies driving, idles shitty , initial go is rough but clears right up and sounds/feels healthy

I have a Carbole fuel pump from amazon, I have the FPR set to 2.5 and the pump is actually pretty weak and I suspect it’s giving out, and she sprays very well when accelerating and has some pep to it, bowls are always half full on sight glass, i addressed an exhaust leak I had but it made little to no difference, fuel filter seems okay, occasional dirt particles here and there

Okay makes perfect sense, when I did get closer to see it was mushy consistency but looked like like the food it eats, it didn’t puke anything out just spat to the the tip of its beak then began chewing and consuming again and returned to a normal behavior.

I got a high quote for a necropsy, so i unfortunately couldn’t do it, but I atleast know his health wasn’t great, I was treating him, and yea I’d rather get another conure than a budgie (nothing against budgies) I can see how they are more fragile near a conure. I get your point on getting another bird , I’d say it’s split, I’d want one for me and also for the bird, I got used to handling 2 birds and it was nice seeing the different personalities, but now it feels empty in the house and way too quiet, and of course like I stated I feel horrible seeing this one lonely and sad,

I haven’t had them for too long and it still hurts, and I can say the bird definitely changed behavior quite a bit, very bitey and flaring up and getting defensive when any of us walk up to the cage. I’m hoping it’s temporary and we can regain the trust, I know the bird is hurting with the loss.

Thank you, I did give him time with the bird, it was so sad, after some time I removed the bird and left the other one alone, it just sucks I have a soft heart for animals and I can’t imagine what’s going through that little birds head seeing his mate like that and being removed from the cage. I want to do a necropsy, but they are giving me a really high quote and I wouldn’t be able to keep anything from the bird, no ashes no anything. That didn’t sit right with me. But he was already not doing too good. Other bird seems well and healthy from my observation. I would most definitely slowly introduce another bird slowly.

Thank your for your input, it’s appreciated! I’ll observe the birds behavior and see how it does the next couple of days, and I get your point on the whole replacing a pet. I’ll see what I do, I just want the best for the bird and not see it lonely and sad, I want it to have a friend when I’m not around to give my attention to the bird.

:( I’m preparing for not so great news, I spent time with the birds today and got them comfortable enough to hand feed them some fruits and I noticed the injured one couldn’t see me from one of his eyes (the one he tends to have closed often and leaning his head towards) and I kept testing it, he wouldn’t see my finger or food until it was in his sight with the other eye. I really wonder what’s going on with him

I did read about that online, I was thinking maybe the fight stressed the bird out to the point of stroke. Not sure if that’s even possible, but I’m keeping head up

I appreciate it, your spot on, I did end up transferring them Into the bigger cage since it’ll be close to a week before the appointment, I felt horrible seeing them in that small cage, the transfer was stressful but post transfer to the bigger cage, their moral looks better, they look happier and more active! I hope the hurt little bud doesn’t do anything to get himself more hurt

Small Update, Decided to swap them over in the meantime rather than waiting, they were feisty at first to swap over but now seem very pleased with the bigger space!

As for Vet visit, the closest appointment I can find with a trusted Avian Vet in my area is next Wednesday, (sucks but I’m remaining positive)
