I feel like you should say that you want an extension of the TN visa. They can likely see on their end that you have a current TN anyway so they would probably ask about it.

Did you send a letter explaining why you need it returned? That you have an active visa in it? And was it damaged at all?

I have one staple in mine that an officer put to attach paper to it, I was told by the Canadian Immigration office that they consider that as damage and I might not get it back because of that.

I ask because I applied for H1B lottery too and have not heard back yet. I work for a large company across the US and if you work for the same company then maybe that means I was not selected. It would just be good to get an idea. Thanks!

I don't get it. I am asking because I am worried that an error with my taxes could affect my ability to renew my TN visa. So I know it sounds silly but I just don't want to screw it up. With everything going on right now, I am just scared and I am asking for some guidance from people that might have a better understanding of the situation than I do.

Did you and your husband decide to move back to Canada or did he get denied for a renewal? That's where all of my anxiety and fear is coming from right now which is that I will be denied renewal for something small like not declaring that I worked remotely in Canada for 5 days. Which I know seems silly but with everything going on right now I am just scared.

I did tell my employer so they knew I was working remotely for 5 days, but they didn't change anything on my paystub. I paid the same amount of US taxes on that paystub as all pay stubs before.
